I just had to say this ! kebab is teh r0x0r ! i luv it ! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3!!! i eat kebab 2-3 times a day and waste nearly 15€ per day on it ! im addicted to its taste ! kebab >>> sex ! who agree's with me ! kebab is teh best thing in world !

When I lived with my parents, they never fed me, so I had too feed myself on my wages I earned from low paid jobs and pocket money I saved up from my grandparents, as a young city slicker, I managed 1 kebab each night, too this day I still don't know why i'm not fat, I guess I'm just lucky.

Kebab's are in most peoples eyes, a dirty form of fast-food. Yes, I agree its fast food, but only cos the greeks prepare their kebabs real fast and they know their shit about kebabs, and it's certainly not dirty if you know the kebab hot-spots in your town centre, backstreets are riddled with this mixed meat fest. The kebab needs to shake the dirty image people place on it in todays society. I think, that in my town it provides additional safety in the town centre, it helps the police also, becuase they don't have too split two chavs pissed out their faces on stella, up over some bleached blonde clevedon slag who they probably won't remember in the morning, but gloat they slept with someone, even if she was a minger the common 'ah well mate, bag over the 'ed, over the 'ed".

Kebabs all the way mate, I'm glad you have seen the light, keep up the good work, one day you'll die from it, like elvis, maybe on the loo, but you'll only die from something else, so go out with a bang and scoff them kebabs!.

Souvlaki

(Those sticks of meat served in or without a pita.)

Servings: 4

Ingredients:
5 Clove Garlic Finely chopped
2 lb Meat
1 A Little Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Oregano
1-2 Pinch Pepper To taste
2-3 Pinch Salt To taste
Directions:
Cut the meat into 2 x 2 inch cubes.

Mix with the rest of the ingredients and marinate, preferably overnight, in the refrigerator.

Skewer with or without your favourite vegetables( like mushrooms, peppers, onions or tomatoes) and barbecue at medium heat.

Baste with an olive oil, lemon juice and oregano brine.

**For a little bit of tang, add 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice to marinade!

Kebabs (souvlakia)

1.5 kg tender pork or beef
3 tablespoons olive oil
juice of 2 lemons
3 tablespoons oregano
1 tablespoon thyme
salt and pepper
Serves 4 persons!


METHOD
Rinse the meat and bone and clear it of any hard gristle or muscle or fat. Cube it in large portions (approximately 2 cm x 1,5 cm x 1,5 cm), season it and thread it on skewers. Pour the olive oil over the meat.
You can cook them under a hot grill for about 3 minutes on each side, basting them often and turning them once. The best results are achieved by barbecuing on charcoal. They take a little longer to cook, about 15 minutes, depending on the stength of the fire.
Before serving, pour over the cooked meat the lemon juice.
Serve with a peasant salad or a green salad.

y I know I was trying to find a kebab recipe but all "great chefs" had kebab with cubes and not grinned meat

this a similar food to kebab.. also very tastefull

Aye, me and some uni mates were working at this bar onetime (at bandcamp) and we started doing 'speed kebab eating' , you know like when poeple challenge you too eat as many crackers as posisble til you give up, it's kinda like that with kebabs.
