Kazaa Lite

Kazaa lite shut down.

Finally it has happened. Zeropaid is reporting that the Kazaalite K++ project has been shutdown by Sharman Networks. The project, which had been set up to block spy and ad ware within the Kazaa Media Desktop Program has achieved notoriety within the P2p world through its simplistic approach and success in reverse engineering the Kazaa application

I think the first comment sums it up nicely.

"Well I guess thats one way to stop P2P usage. Destroy the only good kazaa client."

Fuck off Teren.

sorry, couldn't resist.

If you don't have money to buy soda from the store, you don't steal it. Ofcourse i hate all piratism, i work in games and piratism isn't something that can be justified with just "don't have money".

Try to use that in court:

Judge: So, why did you steal the car?

Teren: Didn't have money to buy it.

Judge: Oh well, you can go then.

Pfft...

The other thread was closed about this.

Do you think its a wise idea to go and make another one despite what bigfoot said in the other thread?

the other thread was about where to get it/what to use for pirating

this is a discussion about kazaa lite going down, which in my opinion is a good thing!

can't really compare pirating software with grand theft auto.

pirating is easy and safe.

Can't really compare killing a man and grand theft auto either, murder is so much easier. And safe if the other guy isn't armed...

And don't tell me..i can allready guess...

"pirating doesn't hurt anyone"

It does. Same as stealing stuff, robbing a bank and so forth.

I have yet to meet anybody with a computer and internet connection who doesn't have pirated software on their HD.

Hypocrites, the lot of them.

I actualy have no pirated software on my pc (windows xp was given to me from a friend who is a MS reseller and had a spare liscence).
For all my real work I use linux windwos is just installed for games

I did actualy download Civ3 from kazaa but that was after my parrot mistook my original cd for a shiny toy.

The thing is that, even if I wouldnt download the mp3s I have on my comp, I would´t buy the CDs. Why the hell would I like to buy a CD if I´d want one song. So in the end it comes to the same.

Also, here in Finland if you want to watch anime... I talked about it with the old leader of the association of anime in Finland, he said:
"Just get a ADSL and go to net to rip. Unless you want to pay loads and loads of money."

Or where could I get some old monty Python Series? most of the VHs that were rentable couple years ago are no longer because they´ve broken up...

and stealing in the way of piratism differs a lot from stealing something "real" since matter is something that can be easilly measured... Data is a lot harder to describe.

It all comes down to the old kid in a candystore theory.

No money, take it for free.

Wonder why it's the "OLD leader of anime association" :p

And if data isn't that valuable, i guess you wouldn't mind Kallio if i transferred your money from your bank account to mine. Just data moving. It's not real.
