I agree - it seems to me that GOA have some sort of complex internal bureacracy that, combined with a rather poor technical layout, means their websites are very hard for anyone to get updated sensibly...

Magnus seems to be using every channel he can to get word out, since he appears on several forums, but I doubt the lack of up to date or accurate info on the GOA site is his fault, just part of the corporate GOA 'what's customer service got to do with it, our systems are just fine for what we need' mentality.

I was killing some mobs on my guilded char, didnt see guild tag, looked like i was not in guild at all, still tax went to guild with each kill. but if guilds are disbanded, what then? lvl18-19 guild gone poof?

I had an episode yesterday when I tried to enter sac dungeons in IC, and I got booted out to log screen. I logged back in and I wasn't in the guild anymore, apparently the roster didn't say anything about me leaving, so I tried a relog and it worked. Now I'm just not in guild at all, and nothing appears when I try /who Severance either.
Its a weirdy one I tell thee!

This is a fairly short process and we expect it to be back online in ten minutes or so. Since we're shutting the server down manually, the risk of roll-backs and corruption of data is quite small. We're hoping things to be back to normal but I'd love some input from K8P-players just to be sure.

Could I ask....why ISNT this information making it straight onto a prominently liked "Server Status and Issues" page on your main website? It all seems, rather crazy and Im curious as to why GoA is having such difficulty in enabling people to do their jobs well....

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad to hear first-hand that it's all good. Also good to see the battlefront back to normal again.

The reason we haven't been posting news on K8P on our news is that we've been doing maintenance on our publishing platform during the day and so we've been unable to post updates. We chose this time as we didn't have any big announcements coming up so the K8P issue was naturally very untimely for us. We've previously posted news about serious server issues, including Karak Eight Peaks and we intend to keep doing so and do it better.

I was at work so never experienced the trouble ingame. I only found out about it through here. I did not know when the problem started, nor if it had been fixed. I asked a question regarding if the guilds would all be back to normal and the members present once the issue was resolved.
I had no idea if it was fixed when I asked the question (had a brief check and did not see anything), but being at work I think that allows me a bit of slack.
