So the server is disintegrating; after a weekend with the incorrect level range set on the Altdorf scenario (so no RvR for those lvls 32-26), we now have the social bug with the inability to group, no guild info, flight master who sends you on the infinite magical mystery tour to nowhere and several other problems.

Petitions appear to be being ignored (presumably because GoA dont know what to do and the US is asleep)

Current status of the game: BUGGIER than Vanguard OR Age of Conan.

Who fucking cares really?
It was obvious what it was you're just being a know-it-all twat again.

Don't know what's wrong with you people, he pasted it as his text without quoting first, no marks, no link, no nothing. Luckily the sig of him (AngelHeal) was there and he fixed it fast.

I had the impression for a second that it was yet another GM revealing his normal FH account and it got me worried.

If you get offended by a learn to quote or to link it's not my problem, but since we all don't fucking care as you say and I am a know-it-all-twat again let's all stop quoting or linking on FH and just copy & paste.

Thanks for the understanding everyone.

We know what the problem is and we're still working hard to resolve it. The problem is related to one of our sub-systems but it give birth to a wide range of seemingly unrelated issues such as being unable to join a party, interact with NPC's and Flight Masters, scenarios not starting, friend lists and guild roosters not displaying etc. Our CSR's have passed on the information they've got on this to our technicians and there is no need to submit further reports on these issues.

Gentlemen, let's not start eating each other over a quotation..

Our CSR's have received numerous tickets regarding this issue and it's long since been passed along to our monitoring teams so there's no need to report it further. Among the various issues related to this current problem are

  • guilds disbanding
  • friend lists empty
  • inability to join a party
  • inability to join a scenario
  • inability to interact with NPC's or Flight Masters
There are many other side-effects of this. Right now, we're keeping Karak Eight Peaks online as these problems does not, after all, affect everyone; if one is merely out solo-questing these problems shouldn't have much of an impact.

Mate your posting this in the wrong place, it needs to be ON YOUR WEBSITE!

Many many many many players do not post/read any Warhammer forums and therefore will continue to spam you with the support tickets.

They have a web site? Oh wait - it wasn't suitable for updates. :D

But yes - seriously - information like this should (IMO it must) be posted on the website. Burying it in some community forums is silly.

The guild issue is quite a biggie though, is this going to be fixable without a rollback of the server?

If not keeping the server up will only dissapoint more later when peoples progress is deleted...

Im generally curious as to why its not on the official website?

Do you have to coordinate statements there with someone -or?

To me its the obvious place to keep the community updated and would prevent alot of confusion and needless spamming of your support services.

I always keep quiet when I see your posts as I know how much of a troublemaker you are. But the reason I posted was due to being shocked at your post (surely no one could be THAT anal?)...I now realise I made a huge mistake and if I waste any more time on you I will just have to read your replies.

This is typical GOA communication, instead of posting that they've got problems on their official website they tend to just do a few forum posts.

Why is it so difficult to sort out the official communication channels? The main website and the patcher should be updated to reflect any ongoing problems as soon as possible.

MagnusK can you let us know if the guilds will be back and all the members will still be part of them once this issue is fixed? Or are we going to have to recreate guilds?

I think Jupitus' pre-empitive semi joke post actually held some truth, the flash website isn't really suited to update the community just because a lot of ppl avoid it.

Personally I'm used to using my blackberry for checking daoc herald for udpates, cant do that on WAR as no flash for BB yet.

With so many people using Vista64 now, I know a few people who only use 64bit browsers which don't have flash yet either (i've heard u can configure but shouldn't have to just to get updates). If they're going with pure flash, they should at least have a html/low bandwidth alternative for updating the community/patch notes etc, but I'm sure they already know this so not much point in touching on it any further. It's a pain in the ass, but I think it's been said it is not going to change.

529k hits on "learn to quote" on Google, so yes, so there are many anal people.

I could have written "please quote accordingly, for a second I thought you were a GM", I'm sorry for not doing it this way in the first place.

As for the rest, go troll elsewhere.

If i was EA and Mythic i would be peeved off with GOA and how they are handling these bugs and the lack of communication they are giving to their customers. Unhappy customers means lost revenue.
Hire more people GOA, and whoever is in charge of the main website needs to have a dedicated team or person to relay the info asap to the customers. asap meaning within the hour, not a few hours after or so. Its just not acceptable.

But i do commend MagnusK for posting the progress on here.

What sucks is even if they posted every update/bit of info on their site. With it being flash you would end up caching old content thus not seeing the updates.
