Just Another Bit Of Spam From Your Local Idiot...

Yay! one more totally meaningless post count.

anyway with that out of the way let me get to the point, it seems that there are a lot of people at the moment that are flaming each other over these forums.

i mean come on people, we're all mates here right? we're all fighting the menace of the albion herds, and the hibby flocks.

we don't really need people trying to make people they had a dissagrement with look bad to everyone else, remember just because you have a problem with sombody doesn't mean that everyone else does. all your doing by talking all this nasty stuff about them is making trouble.

i'm trying hard not to be all preachy about this, hell i have people i don't really get on with too much. especially when they start flaming me for making mistakes i make, but its not that difficult to turn the other cheak if you try. i've found that if they try to publicly flame you to just roll with it,

for example - i'm in the lair, and i have the bad habbit of mezzing the mob closest too me. not being pac specced i have to rely on my single target due to the utter crapness of my AE (32sec's :() and i occasionally make a big screw-up of this and don't mez a single one. i then get people swearing at me and all that, especially if my cock-up caused the group to wipe out but hell it happens, and more to the point it has happened so there isn't really a whole lot of point in rising too it is there?

if you keep a level head and just go with it without responding to harsh words then you'l find you can actually sort out you differences. people are fairly forgiving when you can admit your in the wrong and appologize for it.

this is i've got to admit mainly aimed at tanks when they act all self-rightous and think they could do it better.

the same can be said for flaming your ex-guild. not for any special reason but the recent anti-CE stuff isn't exactly the most interesting of topics to talk about, so they arn't exactly perfect big whop who umong us is arrogent enough to belive they have never made mistakes? never acting like a nice guy 100% of the time? never lost their cool? anyone that says they never has in my opinion is full of shit. its human emotion to feel anger to deny this is to deny your humanity.

well basically what i'm trying to say is that we're one realm, all trying to help each other to get along. if you meet sombody you don't get along with (and it's almost impossible to not) then there is no need to go trying to point them out on the forums. their your disputs not the communitys.

...urmm, anyway thats enough of my anti-flaming flame post. so add constructive replys, 'yes i agree' posts or simply call me an idiot for thinking like this, hell everyones different if we wern't then life would be prity boring :)

Make that spam from your local Idiots....

Xp-deaths

I always think at each time i die when xping "wasn't the first time, wont be the last time". That line doesn't really work any more when you're close to 50 so I do understand if some lvl 49's blow their top at a wipeout. I am very happy no one screwed up the morning I made 50 (well maybe I did. Fell asleep half the time ;))

To all lower levels I say, prepare for a lot more deaths before you reach 50 ;).

Problems with your guild.

Above line says it all. Dont start fighting it out here. Just leave or talk them out.

Problems with other persons.

Ever heard of /ignore <irritating person>? No need to take it out here.

General advice.

Say thank you if someone helps you, be it a rezz, buff, items, etc.

Add please (and i mean please, not plz) when you are asking for something. Such a small word, such a big difference in the response you will get.

Dont start shouting at someone after a wipeout, count to ten.
Scroll back to see what happened.

E.G. I've seen a lousy healer in malmo once but fortunately all people in the group were nice guys. As LK and g1 leader I got a few /sends asking if i could have a word with him. I knew one of the guys in g2 had a lvl 50 healer and I also knew he was a good mezzer (he was our backup at the moments we couldn't get an xping healer) so I asked him to give the healer some tips. Turned out the guy was suffering from lag. Grouped with him the next day and he did a terrific job.

Moral: figure it out for yourself :p

Don't give advice to people playing a class you don't play yourself

Don't burn someone to the ground in a public (/g /gu /c) after a mistake. Try to give some constructive advice in /send (but see rule above).

When asking for something use whole words or even better whole sentences. People recognise and appreciate the effort you put into asking it and will be more inclined to answer/give.

Saved the best one for the last : There are real people sitting at the other end. Remember that and all I typed before comes by itself.

I've been nice and polite to people from day 1. The 2 or 3 times I did blow my top I apologised afterwards.

End result: Never been flamed here or verbally abused ingame :)

p.s @Archeon Damn, you're still in malmo? I've grouped with you there.
p.p.s @ Archeon Had the strong urge to just type "Amen" ;)

Hi i have just recentley come from Albion deleting a lvl 30 Armsman because i dont really think albion is the realm for me i made a Skald and been in midgard about 8 days now and got to lvl 25 and some guy (no names) put me on ignore for doing a /victory to one of my guildee friends? now wheres the point in that, other than people doing that yes i think ignore is rather handy and it is easy to get into a fight only the other night i got a mouth full from some guy because i can mez i mez but thing is i mezzed the some mob as him and it made the mez time shorten and he blamed me for him dieing that all im going to say if it makes sense hehe. oh and i also got a mouthfull in BG1 (Thidranki) by anouther skald because i was running and lagged so i went towards her and she got killed.

Must admit that as a warrior it's not so easy to do things wrong. And if you do break a mezz or something you're also 1st one dying for that mistake.
