I've been given the all clear to defer my exams that are due in 3 weeks. Which is a good thing. Sad thing is I am still in a state of shock for which I will need to see my doctor for access to some counselling. The citizens advice bureau have an appointment with my for my situation.

Landlord has been nigh on useless - haven't seen him since the fire. Tomorrow, welfare rights and probably doc/solicitor for a claim for trauma which will probably take a year to process.

Basically the state have also been useless. I've had no help whatsoever save from friends. Hate to say it, but the positive discrimination against heterosexual men in my country is appalling. The woman in the house seems to be getting all the help she needs. Which ofc she does need it. I'm just appalled that what I tried to do for a fellow human being has been met with so much apathy from the very thing we work and pay taxes to is just useless for me ><

At least you won't have the added stress of worrying about messing your exams up now.

Any news of when you can move back into the flat? Is it liveable?

No news about when I can move back in. Went to see the doc this morning to get his assessment and I am on 'careful watch' as he put it. Which is a way of saying well, I think you probably won't need councilling but lets wait and see. He did offer me some sleeping pills which I refused.

Went to see a solicitor about suing the bloke responsible and was told that if he was insured his briefs would argue that I was attempting to trespass into the flat. Ridiculous as that sounds....Also that I couldn't sue for any form of injury/loss of earnings etc due to the fact that I had not come to any actual harm.

As for the landlord's liability. The solicitor also advised that it was likely that his Public liability insurance only covered the exits and corridors/dodgy repairs he makes to the house/my place. So no joy there neither.

So that just leaves me with Welfare rights and the citizens advice bureau. Rather shitty really...

Must say that after talking to the doc this morning it has left me feeling a little better. Was able to cook and eat my first meal since it happened last night (haven't yet managed a dump ;p)

But it doesn't help being reminded of it when I go anywhere that I was seen in this newspaper regarding the incident. Wish I knew my computer was working or not. A friend is gonna help me with my clothes later and wash em and i'll prolly get a shower there too as the place the landlord left me has only a cold shower. No ta :)

I fucking hate this country. Only in the UK can you try and save someones life and end up being accused of trespassing

Oh yea, just to add. The landlord I believe is buggering off for two weeks tomorrow on one of his many annual holidays that he takes (Prestatyn lucky bugger for easter). So that leaves me in limbo till he gets back. I can't fill in my community care grant form in till he gets back obviously as he's not told me one way or the other what's happening. At least he's not asked me for any rent though :)

Everything is, we'll sort it later, when I need it and have needed it now. :(
