Well the main spec atm is:

50 weapon
50 DW
rest parry

Slash has a good anytime style and some nice weapons a good solid weapon spec.
Thrust is great against chain wearing mid support but it lacks a decent anytime style.
Crush has an anytime stun chain but atm the only decent weapon is the 4.4 speed Apocalipse Crusher. (i think theres 1 on the server )

but imo a good specc is 42 parry or something?

ask gwidoc he's got an uber specc, and slash with that 1.

50/50/28 is abit overrated

For the sake of 0.5% chance to parry, putting some points into shield is a very worthwhile way to spec.

Final spec would be: 50 DW, 50 Weapon, 27 Parry, 10 Shield.

Having some shield spec lets you:

Protect yourself from NPC archers in Keep Raids - very handy when operating a ram!
Guard casters on the walls in Keep Defense.
Use Engage to protect yourself from Archer classes (aka pwn scouts in duels )
Roam around solo pretending to be a Cleric - a nasty shock for stealthers!

Reavers are more fun. They get the rezz effect (almost) and any horny stealther will pounce before thinking.
