Just a quick question about upgrading

When you upgrade from cottage > house what happens to all furniture, gardencrap, and expensive wall shit etc, does that come with to the upgrade or does it get lost?

It doesnt get lost..I think you just put it in your backpack (last night my guild upgraded from cottage to villa and it still has everything we had before)

So if you buy better walls for outside on a cottage, that goes with if you upgrade to House ? That's my main concern, else I won't upgrade my walls

As long as you just get better walls, a new roof or just change the decor on the consigment merchant podest f.e nothing at all happenes to your inside decorations.

However....if you plan to upgrade your house (f.e. from a cottage to a house) you need to remove ALL inside and outside decorations (that includes paintings, merchants, vaultkeepers, garden decorations,etc). Then you just buy a new housedeed on the market and drag it over your old house.
