congrats hope you will both be deliriously happy

I think marriage should be like the armed forces i.e. you should be able to opt for a fixed contract, then if everything works out you can re-up; if not you can both walk away no questions asked

Nice one Staz! It's always nice to have sex on tap eh :D

Btw I wholeheartedly agree with Wil!

The sex on tap thing is actually quite cool, it makes a change to be with someone that fancies the arse off you and vice versa, instead of being with them because you think you ought to.

Ono: Me and Ignus are indeed still talking, best mates as ever and to be honest we get on better now than when I was seeing his sister. The wedding (when it happens) is going to be a church wedding coz I don't want it to happen and nobody know about it.
Debs has been married before and that was almost an apology for a wedding (she got married to a proper wanker as it turns out) but that was 10 years ago, so this time will be different :)
I want to post a piccy, but I don't know how, so I'll prolly have to give one of you lot a shout so you can post it for me.

I see what Wil is saying about the vows thing, but I personally believe that too many people rush into it and thats when the vows go down the plughole, because they never meant it when they uttered them in the first place.

BTW Yuck, no kids on the horizon. She can't have any at the mo' and can you imagine what a Mini-Staz would be like?

*shudders*

Cheers for that, but I need a piccy scanning first :/

Come to think of it, I need a piccy taking full stop.

Any of you married types got any forward knowledge of what being married is like?
Anyone? Throddy?

Cool, not a shotgun wedding then :)
I got married last year, after being together for 12 years. No real reason, it just seemed "right", it was :)

Maaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn dont ask me questions like that! lol

All I know is I'd feel goooood gettin married to da ladie I love one day in the future, it'd just 'connect' us more... dunno. lol, make me feel warm and fuzzy and prove I love her. Thats just me though and of course I respect everyones different.

Not worth thinking about at this moment in time though ;) Need a bitch first

And when it does happen she can fuck off if she thinks we're going above anything which doesn't involve a registry office :D

Its not the being married thats the issue mate, its who you're being married too i think :)
And more importantly actually, how far you're prepared to go to make it work. My point earlier was probably concerning the fact that many ppl spend thousands on weddings honeymoons etc, and then piss off at the first sign of trouble. Life shouldnt be like that. Im in it come what may tbh.
BRING IT ON, LIFE !!

(christ u can tell im pissed cant you? :) )

Being married is just like your previous life really except you have someone who actually cares about your problems/stress/etc.

Most of the time only one of you is pissed off about something but occasionally you're both pissed off (usually not about the same thing :D ) and that's when arguments happen. No big deal really provided when you wake up the next day that you accept that you were both in the wrong at one point or another.

Here endeth my sermon on 11 years of marriage...

:D :D :D

Laters.

That could be me!!

I spend 12 hrs at work, get home, have dinner, bath the girls, wash the baby bottles, go to bed, read, sleep. Sex, pfffftttt, no chance, too tired mate.

TBH, Mrs Wil has a harder time running after the children than I do working for a living.

What adslrizla said holds up well. Its so good to know that when you get home you will be able to offload all your days woes, and she will listen, understand and then ignore them. (and maybe give you a kiss, if your lucky ;) )

For me marriage was no different from life before. We lived together for five years before we got married so it was just a natural extension of what went before. The big change only happens when the kids come along.

Ive never regretted doing it and still love every minute of it eight years later.

I'm a bit late here, but sincere congratulations, Staz. :D

Any chance of having a laptop at the ceremony so we can all participate in a virtual kind of way?

Probably not, but I will make a point of scanning the wedding snaps so you lot can have a gander. Reading the responses to my earlier question has put me in a good mood, coz me and her had a pretty bloody good friendship before we started seeing each other and to be honest, that friendship has only got better since things got more serious.

Its almost bizzare because I thought I would be terrified of being married to someone, but this is so totally not the case with Deb. We are an odd couple of sorts, me being 6ft 4" and her being 5ft nothing, but we match quite well I think.
Sorry, am I rambling?

Laz: Better head than you can possibly imagine ;)

Bohdi: You are an incredibly nice person.

No, really :p

Going out now to get sloshed with her and some mates. She keeps challenging them to drinking competitions and, I kid you not, keeps winning.
