Jumping graphics.!

Hi Everyone.!


Now i'm having a problem with my Graphics they keep jumping


When i move about in anydirection the graphics will jump backwards...! ie if im running forwards every now and again it will jump back a few steps..! and it will keep doing this until i stop moving.!

i have a 1.6ghz athlon,..!
a creative geforce 2 mx ddr
and 300mb of memory so there should be no probs witht the hardware..!

i hope someone can help me out with this problem ..!

P.S i dont know if this is in the correct forum..! hope it is..!

Are u playing online?If so wot connection u got?Cud it be lag?

Sounds like a dodgy connection to me.

try creating a game by yourself, see if this still happens

if no then i guess it may be your connection

if yes then it will be you card, try diff drivers, i used the old 6.37 detonator drivers wheni had my gforce 2 mx

I had some wierd gfx problems when I had vsync disabled, however yours sounds more like a dodgy connection.

make sure ur not on a shitty isp.
and for all of those who think AOL are shit, yeah bein forced to use their software is shit but their actual ISP is good.
Im on a 56k running through a long extension cable and i still get a ping of 170-200
Although there are many 56kers with like 150 pings, they arn't running through a massive extension cable like meh

Warning. Dont sign up with a ISP called V21. They are slow and although they have 4 hour cutoffs (instead of the average 2hour cutoffs) it takes many attempts to get online.

i remember posting the same type of thread a few months back.. if your online, you go dead dead slow, and when you walk/jump, it looks like you jump back about 3steps, and looks like your fighting against a hurricane...

get it often too.. coz i am on 56k

Yes I had had it on a 56K and was getting a BW 170 ping down a BT line through an NTL package called NTLWORLD to keep constant access to internet as cheap as possible. But I haven't had the prob atall since cable. And thats a good thing

My connection is blueyonder's cable..!
and it works fine with other games i think it is more a driver thing coz if i use direct3d instead of opengl it seems to work.!
but i have found i have the most recent drivers for mt 3d card and still no joy..!

dont forget, OpenGL is a helluva lot powerful than Direct3d so then of course it will take up more Graphic Memory?

But besides, its not your Graphics thats a Prob, its your Internet COnnection

Lol, i might actually do a lil read up on CounterStrike Tweaking and Modem Tweaking.. see if i can get the best outta my Games and Net! heh, but last time i looked i got blinded by science..

Yes its capped at 99, disabling it (v-sync) causes graphic glithches for me. My monitor is currently at 85hz so it doesnt really matter.
