Since installing SP2 onto this pc here at work running XP Professional I find I can no longer right click on JPEG's to rename them, which is annoying as its something I do all the time :(
I know there is some issue with JPEG's having virus's in them on the net, and SP2 apparently dealing with this, but does anyone know how i can fix the problem ? Basically I right click, get the egg-timer symbol, then the pc does a mini-restart.
Cheers all :)

Strange, I can right click and do rename on JPEGs. I've got XPSP2. Done virus scans etc?

Is it just the context menu to rename which is missing?

Can you rename them by pressing F2, or double clicking slowly on the filename within explorer?

Does Service Pack 2 protect from the JPEG exploit?? I was under the impression that this was another patch altogether?

It wont let me right click jpegs, or folders containing jpegs, at all. The pc just hangs. I can however do it by highlighting the jpeg then using the menu thing on the left hand side, which helps a bit, though I have no way to see the properties now :(
