The above is against Pusinboots who uses 2.6 speed weapons! For effs sake is something wrong or not?

Corrosive has +15 slash resist and sc gear on.

Now tell me that things are balanced in Thid for stealthers. Tis an absolute joke.

The above is without the added damage buff bonus and also the debuff which she always uses.

Come to the conclusion that the game is f++++++ big time for SBs to the extent that i have started on Excal Albion cos if you can't (and no way can we) beat em you may as well join em.

Please don't say we are balanced for godsake cos the scales are so much in an infs favour they actually go looking for sbs for rps as we are so easy to kill

Come on! A delay of 6 secs on that thing. Pusinboots would hit you at least 6 times inbetween your strokes. Also when you equip your almighty 2 handed the inf evades more. One evade and you have a gap of 12 secs.

Corrosive gimp? Probably is but that doesn't alter the damage being shown above.

332 perf was using the 2.6 speed weap as far as i know.

urm i can't really remember WS but i think its 400buffed or something, and i got around 713HP's buffed. Ill check both when buffed and unbuffed when i next can be bothered to log on

Am having a break now from DAOC forra while if not indefinitely. To stop me from being tempted back i have destroyed my cds and computer backups also so my accounts are now unreachable by myself.

Corrosive was an odd - very odd SB - with unusual statistics. His damage output was awful in melee because he had very little weapon spec. Even so i have played Norse SBs with very high weapon spec and also found them to be not a lot better to play. Damage is still terrible even if your str is up over 220.

Pusinboots was and is a very good inf. But Corrosive had to swap weapons nearly every stroke in a fight to get damage down from poison so he couldn't dodge or anything which was annoying. Even so he could kill well but against Pusin using a 2 hander would cause her to evade more which spelled sure death. I even bs and thigh cut her with a garote 2 handed follow up and then had the guts kicked out of me after. Other times i dropped her very quickly when my hits connected (well once really, though also another time but another inf helped out). But in pure melee i should think Pusin would outdamage Corrosive at least by 3x. This meant that if i failed to get a perf or bs in i might as well have sat down (which i did a few times - or tried to but was dead before i could manage it hehe).

No hard feelings against infs cos it can't be much fun to play them being as they are at the moment. I mean they just don't get a fair fight. My real gripe is against the game developers though allowing this imbalance. Before this it was SBs being overpowered. Instead of balancing they nerfed the class totally and improved infs? Way to go Mythic.

Will have another go again i expect but deff need a break.

just curious as to how long you been playing for?? cos this unbalance has been here for soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long and and been said so many times it hasnt changed yet and very much doubt it will.

When i started playing i was an inf hehe. Sbs were then the uber nasty killers with la being so overpowered. But thinking back i don't think they were so much as i thought. But since then sc has been introduced and buffbots everywhere have caused a lot of changes. With these changes i think la should have been left alone as i think the balance would be sorted then.

Played as an sb with some success especially early buffbot days. Infact i was one of the first to introduce a buffbot at Thid level which i ain't proud of but it was only a matter of time before it became the norm.

Off and on i suppose i have played 3 years or so.

Been a blast but it is a lot harder now i think for a newcomer but nodoubt still great fun at first.

By the way prior to sbs being nerfed infs were whining and whining big time. More so than sbs are now i should think and the game developers did eventually do something. The end result was the la nerf so they do take notice of complaints from some quarters but as you say they are so damn slow to act. But the imbalance has been left for so long this time that it is downright suspicious and makes you wonder why?

yeah SB just abused LA and End Reg and now they are paying the price for it, just like Thrust Infs will soon be paying the price for that by having it nerfed. Its the No1 rule of DAOC if you have something that is overpowered it will be nerfed by the same degree.

Just wait a while and i'm sure Shrooms will start using up huge amounts of the Animist power when they nuke or something that will make them totally useless. Or Mincers will have a neon sign above there heads while stealthed.

sorry to hear you leave mate but hope you come back, as i said before your one of two sbs that i thought were very good, and you being an odd valk 2handed sb made you even better tbh. I always like people who like to be diffrent and try new things, afaik ive never heard someone have my spec for thid but i might be wrong im most prob gonna keep this inf a thid only character as i cba to get to 50 and have to do ML's and artifacts so i hope to see you soon

I think it is a little bit of an exageration, or counting poison ticks from both weapons as well as getting an awesome crit on offhand and mainhand. Or miss reading the damage or something max I would think would be like 650damage with a full on 2handed slow as critblade? think I done like 530ish PA before now but 700PA seems a little high :S

Make a koblod sb, put all points in dex, make a sc suit that caps dex, cs, and stealth. Train your stealth, cs to max, get the slowest staff you can and go out and have some fun Even managed to kill a few infils with my staffblade using the all time style you get with cs around 18 spec.

And you can always disguise yourself in cloth and hit enemy stealthers before they attack your mates. Remember getting a msg on BW that i was cheating with my new caster in thid. Then i replied its a sb
