Benny and Joon, Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, Donnie Brasco and now Finding Neverland. If he doesn't get an oscar this time then the commitee who vote who should are fucking corrupt.

In every role he plays he is awesome, he is amazingly cool and he seems a top bloke.

I have finished watching Finding Neverland about 5 minutes ago and I have to say it was fantastic. It truly isn't my type of film but once again Depp made it.

I demand each and every one of you see it and forget your macho side for an evening.

Aye, he's one of the most believable actors around. He gets bonus points for the little I've seen of his willy Wonka. (The trailer) I wasn't expecting to like it but from the trailer I'm actually looking forward to the film.

Jamie Foxx is going to win the oscar, Leonardo Di Caprio is an outside chance but imo Depp doesnt have a chance. Dont' get me wrong, he is one of my favourite actors and I would love him to win, I just dont think Finding Neverland is the role that will do it for him. He needs to do something more challenging to win the oscar.

The voters in the Academy just *love* giving the award to whoever plays the handicapped character who rises above it all in the end, I remember a booklet Empire made that included the various diseases and/or crippling injuries that the characters had for whoever won best actor that year*


*This isn't to downplay any of the performances, especially Foxxs, it's just that the Academy can be a bit predictable in that respect.
