I was saddened to hear this though we all know we all go there at some point.

I have fond memories of Trek as a kid. One of GB's deliberate goals was to make it multicultural at a time when that was anathema on TV. Few remember this now but way back then it was utterly groundbreaking. 'Scotty' was a part of that.

Rest in peace James Doohan. You contributed to entertaining many people in many countries all around the world and did it well. You will be missed and fondly remembered.
