Found it on my doormat this lunchtime.
Have installed it and now wait patiently for it to update........

Unfortunatley I have to go back to work as soon as it's done that.

Ok the European server is called Werner.

The populations so far are as follows ..

TR - 43%+ (-3% exp and -1 HP)
NC - 23% (+2% exp)
VS - 34% (-1% exp)

Of course that probably means that there are 43 people in TR, 23 in NC and 34 in VS!

I've picked NC and set up four characters with names, I even managed to get my own Real Life Name!
And then I came to work......damn.

I'll get on later, BTW the Character names I picked are...

Teflon
Onion (all of those are old DAOC character names)
Nick (My Real Life Name)

Beta tested EvE and found it to be unorigional, uninspired and lacked any real lastability.

The basic game is a rip of Elite, and not a very good one considering Elite is over 10 years old now.

Ok, so many reckon Planetside is a Tribes rip, and to a certain extent they are right.

EvE had quite nice graphics, but lacked anything to keep a community interested long-term unless you enjoy mining endlessly and getting in the occasional fight.

I think i would personally rather dust-off my old BBC Micro and play Elite than fork out a monthly sub to EvE.

I too tried the EVE Beta.

I uninstalled it two hours later.

But only because it take an interminably long time to get anywhere.

It's literally like watching stars form from primodial elements.

It's like DAOC, except without the interesting bits.

All of which is great if you like that sort of thing.

However if you want a good hearty shoot 'em up with you mates, then PS is the game to go for.

I never played Eve, never wanted to since a couple of friends tried it and said pretty much the same thing
