I thinks it's fair to say this great idea to harmonize Europe has put a closer to it since the end of WW2.
Being told what to do by a German is not something the Brits will put up with, if Merkel doesn't shut up trying to strip our last pennies to extend this farce by another month, then it's time to warm up the subs.

Cameron seems to have stood up to Merkel perfectly well over the financial transaction tax thing. Just because he was polite and didn't punch her in the face doesn't mean he needs "to grow a pair".
