Italics bloody everywhere???

For some reason, several websites are now displaying text in italic - google search results page is now all in italics (firefox and ie), plus a number of other sites that I'm pretty sure shouldn't be.

Very weird - any ideas?

For those interested (I'm sure there are lots of you out there) - my Arial regular font has been corrupted, downloaded a fresh one - problem solved.
