Just claim you're experienced, that's what I always do. :D

Lying about that kind of thing may well get the entire BG wiped, which IIRC never happened to Talsar's raids :worthy: .

Only need 1fg, anything more is "pointless".

imo there's nothing pointless about taking 3fg. It spreads the wealth out a bit, might give other folks a chance at getting a respec that they need and GReapers, Bubbles and Talsar's raids were all a whole bunch of fun!

Martok's posting on a new DR has had a great response so far, so as long as people are signing up and the DRs are successful the entire endeavour is full of point!

tbh, i prefer the journey to the dragon, through the quarry :)

going with a couple of friends and just fighting all the named mobs, and tormenting giants all over the shop, then when you're done you get to sacrifice yourself in one-on-ones with the dragon herself :)

I do wonder why you all insist on tormenting her though - not like she comes hunting you guys down to jump you when you're resting :( You lot are like the anti-smokers of camelot or something...

SAVE THE DRAGON!!! LOVE NOT WAR!!! and all that...

*goes off to see if he can dig out the "Save Goldstandt" banners from his last protest group*

If they are soooo straight forward why do you need experienced players ? :p

I went to the dragon once.....it was closed :touch:

Just sign up! Maybe list all of your other features, such as realm abilities, master level path, spec, etc. Also you could join the battlegroup and offer to join as a replacement for someone who hasn't turned up.

Occasionally there may be weeks where a few people don't signup, leaving an opportunity for a few lesser experienced replacements.

Just keep trying! :p

Some people told you, lead your own dragon raids...

I think there are a few different kinds of dragon raids:

The 3fg regular weekly raids aren't for maxed money, most of the regulars wouldn't need that money badly: It is a bit of fun, like visiting your favorite bar, and hanging out with some friends each and every week. Wonder why no need to make it smaller? The few non regular spots, the people who have skip a raid for RL reasons, etc is a good reason to make it public, and also you can find some new friends.

Small farming raids with guildies / friends: You make a small raid where you take some risks sometimes. You tend to need experience with this, and as some guides said: Good communication tools.

Public zerg raids: You don't expect loot, but expect to see happy new players who seen the dragon for the first time. It has some added challenge: people fail to run from glares, lower level people die too quickly, etc. but a zerg have its advantages as well

Sign up one time raids: They help the realm, etc.

"First time" raids, when you think killing dragon regularly is fun, so you talk some regulars into helping you as co leader for the first few raids, and start a new regular series. Maybe you can gain new friends with it.

Why you can recruit people as co leaders when they don't lead a raid? Because some classes / specializations are better for the 2nd, 3rd group, and if you prefer that character, your usual spot, etc, you won't lead a raid, also there are people who helped a few leaders on other raids before, but never led raids for various reasons, etc.

This last chance is something you can always try :)
