Yes, some people may have stepped over the line on occasions when trying to control situations, but it invariably takes 2 to tango. When one gets away with it.. others get involved.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

What everyone fails to realise is that at the end of the day it's a game. Some people are better at organising/running things and others at tearing them down from the inside.

Whatever floats your boat really.

I would ask you to try and help run an alliance and all the hassles it brings Dook_Pug. Much like running a guild it's a thankless task made worse by comments like this.

Yes. Mistakes were made, but in a perfect world nobody would make them.

Helpful criticism is always welcomed by anyone trying to make your playing experience better. From Mythic to GOA. Server GM's and CSR's. Guildmasters, guildofficers and the anyone who runs hunts and groups. They will all except criticism that benefits all, not pointless whines and flames.

Oh... and Tay... Good luck mate.

Oh? Great of you to get all defensive. Heh

I was mostly referring to the infamous Blackdeath PMs of "Don't do that" shortly followed by a "I'm an officer of Fedaykin". Commonly repeated by most of your officers on a daily basis.

Running a guild? Heh, it's not nearly as hard as most try and make it out to be.

Well.. you did make it kind of hard not to get defensive! ;)

As I said.. there were mistakes.

Aye.. the smaller your guild the easier it is to run. Big guilds tend to be a bit more... fraught. Now that Fedaykin is smaller it is a bit easier to run. Just ask Roo! However sorting out an alliance is much more difficult than you can imagine. Lots of peeps pulling in all directions and someone at the middle trying to get them to all agree to go in one.

Anyhow... no hard feelings Dook. Wasn't trying to flame, was just a bit miffed that you made that statement is all. We tried, you can't fault us for that.

Dook: as I recall the appropriate way to handle spam was (and is) via PM, not posting on AS as that became greater and greater spam than the original spammer. And I do remember Blackdeath saying that he was asked "Who the f*&k are you?" when he asked people to calm down the spam, so please, instead of making him sound condescending, at least put it in context.

Can't speak for how things were done after I stood down as GM, as I wasn't around much for about 2 months but thats how it was when I was GM.

Disappointed you choose to have a pop at Fedaykin in general, I thought more highly of you than that :/

Regarding running a guild, its as easy or as hard as you want to make it. If you merely want a chat channel, then its easy and I know a lot of guilds get by on that. If you intend to build a team of peeps that rely on each other and operate well together it takes a bit more. I personally take a lot of pride in making sure people are looked after, its one of the things I take a lot of time doing and its also one of the main principles I tried to instill into officers. That's a lot of online time not doing the things you want to do, so selfish players won't fit well into that structure.

I guess you're right, it can be easy, but somehow I don't think from those comments I'd be keen to join a guild you were running ;)

I wasn't taking a pop at the guild, just a few choice people.

Anyway, I'll shut up now. You guys seem to have gone all EwulPsychoDefendGuildToDeath™ on me.

Assumption is the... uh... something. :p

Hardly. Reasoned arguments answering points you chose to bring up. Like the rest of us, Blackdeath and Tay have their faults but if I see someone taking pot shots when I know its wrong then I will wade in and when I'm acting as an officer of Fedaykin each and every guildmember knows I'll do the same on their behalf. Conversely, when they screw up they know they'll get Dark Roo'd ;)

Anyway. Its all ancient history. Neither of these people are in Fedaykin any longer and you don't even play the same realm so I think enough time spent on this... unless you want to spar some more :D

Farewell Tay, sorry to see you go. You looked after me and a couple of RL pals of mine in the lower levels. I think we started roughly the same time (Remember battering Mora in Myrkwood with you and Kodirn)

Good luck in EvE, and remember it's only a game, RL is that bit where we do stuff so peeps will leave us alone to play :)

I did think it strange when I saw Tay online as a lvl 2 Rogue!!

Not knowing too much about how it works but if you delete a character and a new one is rolled with the same name, does that mean the original character can never be restored? I know Tay is not coming back, but I am intrigued now...

Anyway, GL in RL, and whatever game you play.

You are correct Silverwolf. As long as there is a Tay running about, then My Tay Will never be restored. Not that I would anyway.
