No, I don't need a degree to work in the music industry, what I did need was a ton of graft, and years spent doing the shit jobs. I'm 23, I've been able to call myself a sound engineer for about 8 months. Prior to that I spent 5 years cleaning toilets, making tea, doing soldering, cataloging cables, and millions of other menial jobs. I did all that because ever since I was little music has captivated me, and has been my true love. So please don't belittle my choice of job because you believe it to be a job that doesn't require brains.
