Then I would like to ask, since when did over 50% of the albs at excal become "normal persons"?
If it is "normal persons" that sleep at those time, you should have been able to gather a huge defense.

If you bothered to take 1minute to read the vn thread you'll find the reason this happened was that the albs on the server couldnt be bothered to defend their keeps - sounds familiar doesnt it?

Hm, wonder what makes albs hate keepraids.. Both in the US and here. Can't be that albion isn't very good in utility when it comes to keeps can it? Hm.. nahh.. Ofcourse it's the PEOPLE. That's it!

I would have thought that was the case too mate, until I saw albs popping crauch and crim last night - again.
I think I speak for most of Hibernia when I say the majority Albion seem like they don't actually know where any other keeps are.

Let us examine that statement. You seem to be saying something here, lets define what it is. Pick which of the below is the 'most likely' cause of your observation concerning Albion support classes.
1. When a player selects Midgard or Hibernia as a realm, they become enlightened with the spirit of Sun Tsu and are automatic masters of the art of warfare.
2. When a player selects Albion, the spirit of George Armstrong Custer invades their brain and inflicts them with such a lack of tactical or strategic skill that they are lucky to be able to kill green cons, much less their peers in group struggles.
3. Players that are tactically savvy, and willing to play support classes for the good of their realm ONLY pick Midgard or Hibernia.
4. Selfish players that scoff at the notion of playing support classes ONLY pick Albion.
5. Support classes in Albion suck when compared to their counterparts in Midgard and Hibernia, thus experienced players that ENJOY playing support classes gravitate toward the realms with the better choices.
hummmmm...makes ya stop and think, doesn't it? I know which one I personally think is more likely, but if you can think of other 'cause and effect' reasons for your above statement, by all means do post them...

Hehe well it seems the VN post went over a few ppl's head ..
yes there is some ppl who wanna be a pally ..
just as there is some legolas wanna be elfs
or some ppl who wanna be a troll..
i have a female friend who wanted to try the knigth game i played..
so we sat 1 saturday and i told/showed her about the realms and class's
guess what she picked ?
Midgaard ... why ? she wanted to be the blue smurf and play in the ruff lands ..
elfish was to gay for her
and alb was to shinnny "i wanna be knigth"ish ..
was a rather fun experince to play with a 100% beginner ..
she found the quest a lot more exciting than just slaying mobs ..
a few times did i succed in convinsing her that it was our job to slay those EVUL nisse's at least 1 hour ..
but then we had to do at least 2-3 quest's after that..

Yeah, those yelling are the kids who are playing albion because they wanted to use platemail.

I don't think that there is a support class in the game that does not get bitched at about something - my rvr experiences boil down to being screamed at.

Merlin is the most populated DAoC server with roughly twice the number of players as Excalibur. It's also the server most commonly pointed to in discussions of whether or not Mythic should intervene when realm population gets totally out of hand and one realm ends up so overpopulated and powerful that it doesn't look like the other two can ever catch up (that would be Midgard).
Whether or not a 9-ram-raid could succeed on Excalibur is another question.

Sure, thats why there are so many dress wearing casters in hibernia
I only switched to playing a Healer after I realised how short in supply they were and how critical to middie success they are. Every fight I find myself holding back the urge to go hit something because that isnt my role, CC and healing is my job, instead of taking satisfaction from killing someone I have to take it from keeping my group alive against the odds. At the end of the day its a team game and Im happy to do what I need to in order to ensure my team has a better chance at winning.
Albs have the tools, but choose not to use them. How many albs do you know who would consider rolling a new char purely because their regular RvR grouping needs it?

people read what it says here, but clearly lack the capacity to process this information in their feeble brains . To counter the "all albs are noobs" I will have to claim that all hibs=americans preparing for a just war, the comparison is just if you look at the ignorance with which some of these people speak, and i dare to say is somewhat the trademark on Americans on other countries affairs.
