kthxbye

Not saying it isn't anoying, and that it isn't selfish, but it also helps the realm a great deal, if they didn't farm him the way they do, respec stone would still be hella-expensive, compared to the 2.5p (or so) price they are on today, and I find those prices nice :D

Imo, Isso farmers: keep up the good work :D

If thats selfish then I apologise. THE most annoying fact is that the people who do it are 100% of the time on /Anon which means ppl trying to get to him don't even know if hes there or not.

why on earth it's selfish? cause you want other to stop farming him, so you can farm him yourself.

that means you want others to give up something for personal gain.

if i'm not wrong that's pretty much the defenition of selfish

I don't think you understand what he means mate. It's not the fact Isso is killed at all but the fact that he's killed by people logged near him who then log off and wait for the the next spawn to log on and do the same thing. It's not illegal in game no. It's jsut a bit frustrating.

ye ofc i understand his concerns, but if you actually bother logging there so you can't use your character for anything else, then not beeing allowed to kill him cause some random person might come at some random time one time a week is selfish of that other person.

astraad could try tell the raiders when he's raiding and they'll prolly leave it for then, but since astraad could potentially go at any time it's very selfish to wish that no others hunt him, or only ppl going in. very selfish.

and fyi i'm not one of the farmers, i havn't got a seer class or a sm

The people who pull him are anonymous. Also i don't know the names of their alts. Quit calling me selfish I aint, ask anyone who knows me in game. I would like the chance to kill the mob thats all. U understand that or are u gunna comeback at me with the "ur selfish" crap again?

Oh and while I remember. I dont want to farm him myself thank u thats why i made this post in the first place, merely have the chance to Kill him with my friends.

i uderstand your concern, but wanting something for yourself at the expense of others is selfish no matter how your look at it.

i'm not saying the ppl farming aren't selfish, they are prolly selfish to, but they are not showing it by asking that others should stop so they could farm themselves, actully there was a post that said they tried to leave to mobs for large raid forces. so it actually seems that they are not very selfish, unlike you

One thing that I have wondered about the TG farmers. They sell the loot for huge amounts of gold. What are they going to do with it all? There is only so many items or LGMs you can use/get yourself and you cant take the gold with you when you leave the game. The game dont track how rich or poor you are so there is no status in it either. Maybe they are doing it out of boredom?

I'm not sure if we qualify as farmers, when we first started it, we were there pretty much all the time for few days, but after that we stopped for while and haven't gone back until yesterday when we hunted some again.

So far we've been hunting and hoping to get drops that we need ourselves for our characters (got one or two of those).
We've only sold 3 drops (that we don't need ourselves) and few respec stones so far to get some money.

But money in game is useful for many things, you need some in everyday "life". Repairs, RvR, new crafted items and it can be used to trade stuff, such as TG drops that you haven't managed to get but someone has and doesn't need. Some people prefer to buy them instead of hunting and then you pay the other guy for the work he's put in getting the item and he can further use the money for his needs (perhaps some TG item he hasnt' managed to get:)).

Some people just like to farm for money, in DF for example.
If they spend time farming in DF, they can buy items that other people have spent time "farming" in TG. :)

This is economy I suppose, of a sort (or short) :)

sorry, quick add to my earlier point, Bloody, he isn't asking them never to kill Isso, jsut to not do it 24/7. This isn't selfishness.

I think you are selfish for saying selfish so manyt teims as your use of the word selfish cuts down the amount of times other people can say the word selfish.

Thats selfish imo

I was not being selfish, I was pointing out that that other guy was being selfish because of his copious use of the word, selfish.

This, is not selfish imo as I was pointing out that someone else was being selfish *without* really using the word selfish myself until the very end of my post where I said

And I stand by my own original use of the word selfish, because in the context of its use, it was correct as the poster was being selfish.

IMO FYI

well they ain't doing him 24/7 anyways, and since he's not saying when he's going he might as well ask them to stop doingn it 24/7 since if they do it once a week at random could still interfere with his hunt

astraad if u still read this leave a time/date so the people who do camp isso know when your on about being there. that way they might leave him for you but if u just say stop it how are they going to know when your gonna turn up.

What keeps amazing me is that people apparantly don't come to the realisation that killing a mob like Issorden with a minimum of characters present is fundamentally wrong. The fact that it's possible isn't even im frage. It's a moral issue - regardless of people's motives for starting this thread. Whatever you claim, you cannot deny that it can NEVER have been the intention of the level designers to have this happen.

However, I am happy that during my weekly (sunday's) FFA raids people have left Isso alive so we can zerg him with the 40+ army. :)

It's just sad that things like this have contributed to the total destruction of the Summoning SM a few patches from now.

Summoning SMs are meant for killing mobs leveled higher than themselves? If its possible without cheating, I'd do it. Hell yeah I'd do it.

would rather go to 2374623 ffa raids for that jerkin I always wanted (if the raid leader would actually touch the mobs dropping it(think tesla does tho)) or buy it on bw for 25p, than to go farm it with a handfull of friends.

Speaking of which, there is an alliance raid TG tonight so please please please don't farm Isso today.

Tummy rubs if you don't.
