Huntingtons said:well, on paper it should be... but in pratice its not. It works like this: Any mob of a given type (Cyclops as example) after a given lvl has a chance to drop any scroll for an artifact. This means you can't farm ls3 but you can chain kill some mobs hoping for them to drop it, they will have a chance to drop 1,2 and 3 so its not easier.
Q : I've been farming Love Story Scrolls by killing Centaurs. I've noticed that some scrolls are very common, i.e. Floppish Sleeves Scrolls. With the newer system of mobs having a chance of dropping all scrolls for a region, is the chance for a mob to drop a scroll equal across the board? I've noticed several "common" 1/3 scrolls that drop all the time and very few of the more in demand 3/3 scrolls.
A: Our Content Queen and our Content Goddess conferred, and gave me this reply: "Typically, the system works like thus:
"Page 1 of 3 scrolls have a higher chance to drop than Page 2 of 3 scrolls. Page 2 of 3 scrolls have a higher chance to drop than Page 3 of 3 scrolls.
"A Page 1 of 3 scroll has the same chance to drop as any other Page 1 of 3 scroll. The same rule applies for Page 2 of 3 and Page 3 of 3 scrolls. (For example, Love Story 3 of 3 has the same chance to drop as Foppish Sleeves 3 of 3).
"In general, since Page 3 scrolls have a lower chance to drop than Page 1's or Page 2's, you will see more of the Page 1's and 2's than you will see Page 3's."
