Is this the end of fg?

Not a wajn or anything....just wonder if its time to drop the fg thing and go 2-3 even 4fg and join the zerg(battlegroup)?

as its been harder and harder to run fg....

was a time when most runned fg....now its opposite.

What do u think?...

Considering you don't know anything about battlegroups apart from hearsay and the battlegroup patch isn't even live don't you think its a little early to be making your mind up about it?

My mind is clear on how hard it is to run fg emain now, and with battlegroup i ment another word for zerg fyi.

and u didnt answer my question..just had to pick on a word....

If people want to zerg they will zerg whether they have battlegroups or not. Battlegroups will not increase zerging.

it's easy:

if YOU think it's fun to run 1fg then run 1fg
if YOU think it's fun to run 2fg then run 2fg
if YOU think it's fun to run 3fg then run 3fg
etc

Yeah it means welly few 8ppl fg`s out there.....when counting in a "fg" fight its welly often a bit more than 8ppl like 9,10,11,12 etc witch is a huge diffrent...

and its damn hard to decide to attack or not when ppl is a bit more than fg...like getting trapped.if u run fg and avoid zerg by sprint.

Firstly, they're called adds. They aren't necesarily running as more than fg. Secondly one or two people don't make a huge difference.

several groups.

TB, SS seem to be ones i notise a lot....say they are running a FG, when infact, its a fg, with an extra mincer+cleric+tank or 2, on stick. But since its not '2fg' it doesn't count as anthing more than a regular group.

If its a 1337 group no, thats almost impossible if they not fekk up anything, and play good.

If its a lees good group (no offence t any1) yes its easy..even 2-3fg can be taken down then.

it realy depends on who you meet....and those fg consider themself as real good..cmon ..dont run more than 8ppl plz =)

nothing wrong with large scale pitched battles with even-ish numbers on all sides, in fact its alot of fun. just keep it in emain.

yes it is getting harder to do 1fg in emain (almost impossible alot of the time) especially for albs, since the enemy build thier 'battlegroups' to fight the albzerg not your iddul speed bump of a fg.

if u want 1fg action go odins it seems. realise its further for mids to travel, same as hw is for albs. but really the 5min trip >>>> sitting on pad for 10mins cos u missed wiz/gothi/demfaghibporterdoodswhosenameiforget or waiting 5mins for the next one.

It's a massive multiplayer game, not a 16 player game. Stop acting like fg-fg is a noble thing to do and everybody doing something else is a sinner. It's just a playing style like all the others. Zerging doesn't ruin the game, people whining about stuff do.

enscepti, there is a difference between massively multiplayer and meeting 6fg with 2fg cause your own realm simply CANNOT give more ppl.
But I agree that large battles simply rock, but sometimes this becomes like an arcade game like that funny amg thing today. It was interesting to watch the alb number grow from not even 1fg to around 4-5fg's. Not that I want to whine around here. If I hate it I go Odin's, as simple as that and all those who're yelling loudest, come Odin's, too.

Hibs zerg in Emain too. I've been steamrolling mids / albs with 6fg hibs often enough. Also been steamrolled by the other realms. Yes albs/mids have the largest population, so be careful around the point that they all have to come through (the milegates).

I do wish that people would take keeps more, instead of just roaming around Emain/Odin's. I wish albs/mids would take some people and roam Cruachan Gorge or Breifine more. Spread the action a little bit. People limit themselves so much in this game, just because they think it's more rp/time efficient. That's so boring.

The problem is that too many people think RvR = Emain, which means that everyone goes there. Even if everyone leaves atk in 1fg at different times, when you're following the regular runs to amg/dc/mmg you're going to get multiple full groups adding in any combat.
But anyway... will it mean the end of 1fg combat? No. There will always be a place for 1fg, in the more out of the way spots. What it will mean is that keep takes and relic raids - which should be the core of RvR - will become more common. Everything Mythic is doing to RvR is about encouraging large groups to get together to achieve a goal, rather than just running around a zone in the hope of meeting the enemy.

Absolutely.

There's a little spot in Briefine, literally 1 minute away from Emain, where you regularly get full groups of Hibs xping on some fins. How they hell can they be safe enough just a minute away from the busiest RvR zone to XP? Because no one ventures beyond emain.

How about start a irc channel with limit acces for those who do fg only.so we can talk about witch area to meet...and minimum chanse of a zerg appear.
With limitid access to the fg channel with sertan agreements, it could work...or? just an idea :)

well, i dunno about your group, but me&meekur will take one of the alb fg's together, you take your group and do your thing over there :p



2ppl can shift the scales pretty nasty tbh, but it all depends on timing.
