Is it ok to solo camp outside other realms portal keep ?
Got a feeling that i did somthing that aint nice to do.

Well camping a portalkeep is never a good idea unless you want the enemy to log - besides that you also get less rp for killing a res sick enemy.

Well, i think I have done it from time to time, just because sometimes it's the only place where I can still find a 1on1 and people who have recently released aren't worth exp, which delays the moment of suicide. When I do it though I try not to kill people who obviously don't want to fight (who keep running e.g.) and as a rule I don't attack blue-cons unless they attack me. I might break these rules from time to time, when I'm bored of getting zerged I tend to be happy with killing whatever I can. And really, when you have a look at it, there's never a right moment to get killed. Just try not to kill the same people over and over in a short period, because that will annoy them, especially when they don't stand a chance.
On a last note: if you back of when your enemy's at 10% hp you get less experience when he's killed and chances are he won't be as angry. If you still have to achieve 1L4 things are different of course, but I find the fastest way to do this is by leeching of the zerg.

i wandered all over thid looking for some stealther to jump my gimpy free merc, just to see how it panned out, but found nothing until i got near the mid PK and a skald came after me - we put up a good scrap, he was gonna beat me that was obvious, but then he stuns me, runs away then like 1500 boneys came over and all blasted the crap out of me.

Was a shame, for one second i thought the solo thing was a posibility, but haven't bothered since, i just have my ickle free-shit-chique fire wizard, Ljii, out getting blastinated by chanters and ambushed by stealthers, but having much more fun

always fun to camp a Pk if your solo and theres no such thing as rezz ill enemies since rezz ill wears off after about 30 seconds ! and true that you can't kill on MB or anywhere in thid without getting zerged if you are solo

stealthers do it all the time, your solo no probs with that, it just gets a bit tedious when everone on the playing field is camping a PK

Faster and easier to find some fights if they camp your front door. :x

if you give them some distance so they can a: come out and b: avoid you if they try (going around the hill the other way or whatever) I'd say it's good especially if yer solo, noone can whine about that

If they can't leave the pk gate without being bolted/shot/obliterated by 100 ranged enemies it's not so good

Perhaps the overwhelmingly overpowered 2s stun off demolish? That's just about enough time to stow yourself in the rear with the gear as a skald and pray somebody with some damn defence comes to save you

Me too. I was joking and laughing quite a bit here - just try running up and doing the side style (the follow-up is the stun) against almost anyone these days. It's either a BT (i.e. no chance of a surprise attack unless they're blind or asleep) or you miss, because you've got 18+1 hammer and they're mega-SC-man...or perhaps you hit and then miss that rather pathetic stun. Actually, you'd be dead by then usually.

P.S. I've always found I'm much more successful with shield side-styles. Bizarrely fun too.

Second i played a skald for all of 30 seconds, didnt enjoy myself, so i stopped. I didnt memorize every spell/shout/ability i had, im sorry, better things to do. My merc, fyi, is my first reroll since i deleted my 2.5 years, played from shortly after launch, 50th merc over on Prydwen, and i started a fresh: no cash, no equipment, nowt (no, i dont want a medal). I was wearing free armour, free weapons etc, and had no items or buffs. I wandered out SOLO *gasp!!!!* to see if i could get jumped by a stealther, and just test out the shatness of what i was wearing and swinging, knowing full well i would die. The reaction of the skald was what got to me, and made me realise that without company, anything that isnt a stealther is pretty much gonna get raped solo still. Ah well, i already said im getting a kick with my fire wiz, but hey, you prolly didnt get that far, like i expect you havent got this far.
