I'm not very active with daoc a.t.m, but the day I hear that GOA banned someone for doing a "normal" (both want to win) type of duel, that's the day i stop playing for good, tbh.

As they weren't farming rps then I can't see it was against the CoC.

Here's a scenario:

2 brothers play the game, each has a char on a different realm. Sat next to each other playing, they arrange to meet somewhere to have a fight. They both fight to win and the loser releases. The fight was just to see who would win.

Now are you going to come spouting that they are playing against the CoC?

If not, then as far as I can see it ain't very much different what Ameinon was doing.

If you DO think that's against the CoC then either a) You are wrong or b) The CoC is shite.

Bottom line is there is nothing wrong with people (or groups) arranging to meet for the purposes of having a genuine fight. IF they do it just to farm rps (and it would be pretty obvious if they were) then I don't think you would find anyone defending them.

GOA is not going to ban a guy for dueling,

Banning = No Money...... bottom line.

The CoC could be revised, it probably hasnt been much revised in a while.

So until the CoC changes, however retarded it may be, your still going against it by what your doing by set duels.

There is no way GoA can prove that the duels were pre arranged and there is nothing in the CoC that says you have to attack enemies at all times, there is also nothing that says you are not allowed to duel/1on1 people that you meet ingame. CoC only says you are not allowed to do pre arranged duels and sorry there is no proof. Innocent until proven guilty you know.

On a side note the CoC sucks, dont see anything wrong with arraging duels with other realms aslong as you dont set up an RP farm. Fighting is fighting.

cant goa and alot of players understand that a good amount of people on this server play for fair fights and stuff.

Im sure Ameinon wuld rather have died to Fuji than win because u added, some people get much more enjoyment over a fair fight than being in a mad frenzied rush to become a Mymridon. I think its rediculous that its against the CoC if u choose not to add on some1. If i see 2 people duelling there is a fair chance i wont add (depending on who they are) and if thats against the CoC then its stupid and it needs revisiting.

indeed. i see no probs at all in arrangin a meeting between 2ppl or 2groups that want to win. the ability to do this without adds shoulda been in the game a loooooooooooong time ago. arranging smth where one half of the fight sits down is quite another thing...
