Is this a Good template for a healer 32/30/31 Pac/Aug/Mend?
I want to be good in a group :) and still have some rvr skills :) , so i thought that i would go for an all round spec, is this a good idea?

you dont need mending more than 22 (or 24 for res), 30 in aug gives you nothing while 31 in aug gives you next attack speed (the main buff in aug line imho).
so try smth like this - 31 aug (4th aspeed), 22 mend (2nd pers insta), 38 pac (insta AE mez and stun - they're on different timer from single insta mez/stun)

Healer Template

Balanced spec is a nice idea to attempt to counter whatever tweaking (nerfing) happens down the patch path but I'd really not bother with Aug much beyond 15 or 16 (2nd or 3rd run buff), the shaman buffs are better.

I'd concentrate on Pac mainly as it is more mana effient than the mending spells plus gives you access to the various Purity of ... spells, of course then might tweak mending to work better one days, I'm not clever enough to work out points and such like but something like 10%aug/40%mend/50% pac would be my advice, which admittly may be rubbish but hey am only trying to help

The healers Aug is getting better and getting new spells in later patches.....

As a runemaster i must say that the best healers are thos with Purity of Meditation (Pac 45). Besides never running low on mana at lair, they can fule my 6s fend without trouble! =)

I'm going for 15 in aug (2nd speed) and rest in Mend and Pacify. I want to mezz and then heal for efficient RvR :)

Personally I think aug is a complete waste of time - the extra buffs coming in later patches are self only, so it jus tmeans you can solo a bit more successfully. Get youself 5 in augment, no need to go higher, and then focus on Mend and Pac.

To the person who said 22 mend is enough - not in later patches it isn't. The high level spec heals have much better /heal/power ratios, and also much quicker casting times, meaning they are of great use in RvR. I even heard a rumour that the highest level spec heals are uninterruptable (but cost a lot of mana to cast) - but not sure if this is true.

You will also want at least the single-target insta mezz and stun, but preferrably the area ones.

I disagree about the aug line. After 1.50 it rocks, Healers saying they can solo orange = a good thing. Its very easy for people to say "but healers shouldn't solo", but to get people to play a class, that class MUST be able to solo. In RvR I was always frustrated because I had no offense, great CC, but it took me ages to kill anybody. That, and my instas were on 10min! timers. So mostly I munched dirt alot if I got split up from group or if the group died.

I will respec aug high after 1.52. I will keep mending at 23 for the insta heals, spec pac to 29 for the first insta mezz & stun and dump the rest in augmentation. This (imho) will allow me to do the things I do in RvR like ae mezz and rez, provide pretty good heals when required, but more importantly it will allow me to defend myself. Also, as there arent and will never be many Shaman, it will allow me to buff well. And healer buffs > no buffs ;)
