Thats correct. Still have the baby, just missed DAoC. Looks like times will be hard as a hero. Add that to the fact I'm so rusty. I logged on last night and couldn't even remember how to pan the camera :eek7:

erm, have you ever looked at the rvr groups?

we run bm, champ, eld, chanter most of the time. and rr ran with bainshee/chanter/eld/bm last times they played afaik.

ofcourse if you don't care about group setup anything goes, but if you want to rvr often and compete against the top hib/alb groups you might have to switch classes some.. some setups really are very crippled.

its not so dramatic as people make it out to be i think :p - when there were 3 druids in the dh group one of them rerolled a tank that was needed, he had the choice between champ or hero and it was pretty obvious champ is the better choice.

heroes can do fine in some situations but in others they really lack the ability to get banelord, and next to that all the other toys a champ get make it overall superiour

Its much eiaser to ToA a toon now then it was b4, i moved to alb/pryd and started from scratch was fully kitted in a week or 2, if u have a champ and a hero id go with champ altho a hero could be nice in the train

Ofcourse group set up matters, my point is that if a group has 2 banelords that might be enough. What I mean is that the ML10 warlord ablity is very nice -25% mele damg reduction that has to count for some thing. Secondly, if you can spec high in soldiers barricade you have another group damage reduction ability. The anti pet warcry is also nice against theugurist interupting casters/support.

So to sum it up, I don't say that banelord interupts are bad for a group. I don't believe in a group running with three heroes, BUT if you have two banelord tanks in your group perhaps a Hero woudn't be so bad :D

And who knows who will be nerfed in next patch and who will gain all the love. And could I just ask you some thing, If heroes got banelord would you think better off them or is champs still much more attractive in your eyes?

Just forgot,one thing :D

Heroes Stoicism+Determination (always in action) > Champs Determination

Heroes LW (frontload) < Champs LW (front load) + Con debuff

Just want to be fair in the argumentation.

heroes are pretty much useless in today's fg rvr :< had to retire my rr10 one

I still think hero should be spear since its only class that uses this weapon, (GS javelin ftw) 50 spear and 1-2 hit kill on casters and some crazy stealthers that think they can handle 2500+hp Hero best RAs are IP2+moose DET5 and than aint no stopping us now... with IP2+ moose there is a high chance of you killing grp of 3. Even whorelocks fall with moose+ip2 that’s like 7k hp to work with. still Hero is missing something like ...CHARGE... damn we'll be unkillable with that but ohh well.. I use hero mostly for PvE atm until GOA will update classic classes I guess that they might do next expansion after DR...

(Just some info about RR5 on champs:The champs damage is increased instead of decreased by targets armor absorb)

Champs prefered to hero's? I never thought I'd see the day. Still, they deserved a break I think.

I had a run out today for the first time in RvR in a random group and enjoyed it. I never really got the chance to go out in optimised groups in Old frontiers, so I suppose I'll give the Hero a go. Also I was asked to bodyguard too, so maybe people still want a def hero with bodyguard?

Really can't be bothered getting and leveling Arti's, rr and ml's all over again, even if they are easier to do. I swore I'd never TOA another char. :)

Well last night i grped with Mag Mor grt lads tbh They run Hero setting with BG and pretty much pwned everything in their way bear in mind we took fg with 5people ^^ bm, hero, eld , druid and bard all i can is there if u run with that setup and know how to play u will pwned it aint the class that make the player it is player itself. if u want a grt Hero Idol pick : Kani, Hestethun etc they know how to play hero hestet just prefer hidding behind a bm ;)

I did also gave up my hero at rr11 :p but like eleas said hero dosent fit atm in todays good rvr setups

tbh Hestet depending on ur setting :D hero got to be very offensive and defending if u are a clever hero u remember to throw weap if u r Battlermaster spec :p

Well looking forward to that patch when hero will be more preferable in a grp than a silleh Champ / bm i got all 3 tanks lvl types hero is most interest Class tbh. Nerf Banelord or give it to heros and we r spking again ;) so i mgiht take a break to that patch goes live :D

ololol ....they are goin thru almost full Herra group like thru butter rofl ! Without Body/Spirit resists ...sm in that grp Oo. Only "low" rr there was the rr9 warrior, poor guy bg'ing svg zerks ...and getting rolled sideways :p Ofc those mids played good, they rezzed them selves like 24324234 times but still ! That was basically a masacre, the train was awesome. Also not to mention the fight where they insta pwned a Lord/Lady grp and then sadomized the mids in most horrible way :) Only negative thing i could say there is that hero/champ doesnt swap...they are both LW and using malice full time :( Kinda funny shit imo, no warden resists, not a single BG, and they got no probs vs mids which run 2healers sham war sm 2zerk svg ...Also the albs looked like didnt had a tiny chance in entire movie...
With that setup they basically made a trade...bg/resists for more interupts/demez and extra end regen which paid off well it seams. Also the bain played uber, no doubt about it, very timely assisting on hard targets.

Very enjoyable movie, but most exciting is the train lmao irl.

PS. before some forum trolls get wet, watch the movie, the SM always tryed to pb the train when they were on the warrior so most likely its a supp one.

When u remove the warden for a bard, u loose bg(not needed since they use 1 bainshee with uninterupted pbae snare). You still have resists-16/16/16 chants from bard. The extra bard bring alot more to the grp imo. Bard focus on locking down enemy caster/support and bm-hero-champ on there MA

CLASS CHANGES AND FIXES


Armsman, Warrior & Hero Changes

Heavy tanks are considered the defensive juggernaughts of the realm they fight for, and as such, will be getting added abilities and improvements to their classes.

Note: These abilities are currently only available on newly created characters. All of these will be available on previously created characters in the near future. Functionality of some spells are not yet finalized and will be adjusted accordingly. Please feel free to include any feedback you have in a bug report while testing these abilities on Pendragon.

- BattleCries - This is a new system that provides burst defensive bonuses to self and group for Heavy Tanks.

- Level 5 Shout - Taunting Shout: Frontal cone taunt that causes mobs to turn and fight the tank or at least increase the hate amount towards the tank. Re-usable every 60 seconds

- Level 30 Shout - Bolstering Roar: PBAE 250 radius attack that breaks root, breakable snares and mesmerization effects on group members. If the tank is CC'd (other than root) they will have to purge themselves or wait for CC to wear off, then fire this. Re-usable every 10 minutes.

- Level 40 Shout - Rampage: Group shout which increases the chance to resist debuffs by 35%. Lasts for 10 seconds. Re-usable every 5 minutes.

- Level 50 Shout - Fury: Self only shout which gives a 50% chance to deflect crowd control spells (similar to the RR5 Bonedancer ability), and increases resists to magic spells by 50% for 10 seconds. Re-usable every 15 minutes.

- Level 15 Spell/Ability - Metal Guard: Group buff which increases the ABS of group members by 3% excluding the caster of the buff. If there are multiple casters of this buff within the group, then this will stack up to a maximum of 9%. Other players can receive the benefit of this buff, but the caster of this buff cannot so it is possible for another heavy tank to have a bonus to his ABS if another heavy tank joins the group and casts this buff. Duration 20 minutes.

- Level 35 Spell/Ability - Climbing Spikes: Self castable buff which lasts for 30 seconds that grants Climb Walls. The player will have the ability to climb walls for a short duration of time. While climbing a wall, any hit that does more than 31 damage will knock the player off the wall. Furthermore, any hit which knocks the player off the wall will hit for double damage. If the buff runs out while the player is on the wall and he/she does not reach an area where they can walk again, they will be knocked off the wall. Re-useable every 60 seconds. (Note: Currently this spell does not have an icon which makes it unable to be used. This will be addressed in a future version of Pendragon.)


Passive benefits

- Upon choosing the path of a Hero, Armsman or Warrior, the player will be granted 50% siege resistance automatically. This includes all siege damage types including Boiling Oil.

- Upon reaching level 41, the Hero, Armsman or Warrior will begin to gain more hitpoints as they progress towards level 50. At each level beyond 41 they gain 1% extra Hit points per level. At level 50, they will have the full 10% benefit.

- Upon reaching level 41, the Hero, Armsman or Warrior will begin to gain more magic resistance (spell damage reduction only) as they progress towards level 50. At each level beyond 41 they gain 2%-3% extra resistance per level. At level 50, they will have the full 15% benefit.

would fire half the shit at inc for each fight, hero would be nice for caster groups as interrupter and with malice/som/wh + couple of lvls in aom, hes going to be perma 50% immune to all dmg tbh. With the extra hits and moose you got a interrupt tool who is nearly immune to CC and to dmg.

Yurka wub <3 shh dont tell em we dont want FOTM heros :D the onces there is out there is enuff :D tbh people who say Heros don't get grp isnt true.

Tbh hero get as much grp as a Champ or a BM it is all bout the player behind the screen that what class etc. Hero is more challenging more fun, i got all fighter classes + stealthers from exc and bm okay fun with fury etc buuuuut i prefer hero me moose etc :D, plus as Yurka said in the next couple of patches they will rox.
