i do wonder, because for some fucked up reason they exist.
i ponder over what purpose they serve except to add to 'unemployment' and drain the government of all the money we supply. they steal cars, beat people and call random people names.

such an event occured for me not so long ago. i was walking home with a good friend of mine and some male, hooded, twat rode by on his BMX that he'd obviously stole and started shouting obscenity's.

being the gentleman we are, we asked him to come to us while we stood in a particular spot, just so we could solve this particular matter. he ofc didnt oblige (i dont know why, he obviously had some kind of problem he wanted to resolve). instead he parked him self some 50m infront and started shouting names, and as we advanced he rode to a car to talk to some people (who stayed in the car). we kept advancing as we wanted to resolve the issue before we went to bed, instead he kept riding and shouting nasty things. we sprinted after so we could chat, he rode a bit faster and called us names. ultimatley, we could not resolve the problem he had with normal, middle class people.

so what i want to know is, is there a point in chavs? and is it acceptable to have a no tolerance policy against them. i.e. should their jaw be broken on sight?

Chavs use to serve a purpose when they were ordinary people. But the hoody/thug culture has grown strongly over the years and the result of that is more and more children are becoming chavy. The poor enforcement on estates doesn't help either.

What they need to do is bash out this idea of a gang culture and replace it with something else. This will not be an easy task however, especially as teenagers have already begun to move into the weapon-brandishing stages (even around here :l oddly enough).

Personally, I'm all for a harsh way of enforcing it. We don't want to be looking at the 'parents' way of bringing up their childs' - but we want to be giving police officers more powers, giving alot more crimes a prison sentence (if only a week-month) and simply running a no-tolerance policy. I know around here, if you're constantly a family of fucktards on a council estate, the council have the choice to kick you out without offering another place to stay -> the problem is the council DO NOT enforce this enough.

We need to move away from a nanny-state & move back into the Margaret Thatcher world (even if she did introduce Poll Tax yada yada).

Young Chavsters have attempted to stop me on my bike twice when coming home from work..once one of them stood in front of me..so I evaded at the last min and kicked him in the stomach as a I went passed.

Attempted mugging once by some fat little prick and his even shorter mate. Broke the fat boys nose and the other one scampered.

I don't know if they see me as an easy target because I wear glasses or what :S? But punching chav's who try and cause me harm brings great satisfaction.

also, this replacing it with something else thing... what would you suggest? this is a primary reason why parliament are ineffective with laws controlling things ect... this is why gun crime should be encouraged, so we can self purge the country

I've never had any problems late at night or early morning tbh..

+ sending these people to Afganistan or Iraq is the worst fucking idea I have ever heard.
