Is that the usual behavement on the servers ?

Hmm, sorry if this post looks a bit angry but actually I am upset. Well, why is that ?

I play T2 since it was being released and most recently played regulary on the katabatic bw server (5). However, I noted as of today, that some people just vote to kick you if you are to good.

I can understand that behavement to a certain extent because everybody knows the frustration of being killed over and over again. What I can not understand is why the people in my team have voted too. After two flag captures and 18+ kills during the first half of the match this is most.. well... strange.

Well, after the ranting introduction I'd like to ask a question to all readers who were able to follow my babble till here.

Is this the way bw players behave or just some individuals ?

If yes, then I'll look for another t2 server. I know, that this doesn't bother you in the slightest, in fact, why should it. However, I hope that my experience was a rare case. I love this servers and the players too. Some of you are very skilled and it's fun to play with people who know what they are doing.

Ranting posts usually get locked and are forgotten within a day. I hope this is not the case here as it should be a thread about the community and fairness.

Post your suggestions and views, they are most apprechiated (however it is spelled ).

im still only new to tribes but i have noticed some very strange votes.
1 person (cant remember the name) was top capper on the same server u mentioned (had a nice relay going on with bikes and shrieks) was kicked for "he took my bike".

tbh it seems like a hell of a lot of people are kick vote happy

I assume the following. You tk on accident or take someones vehicle. The person votes because he is upset, vote happy and some other negative adjectives.

The enemy players join the vote because they can eliminate a good player this way pretty easy.

Now, what about your teammates. Perhaps one or two play only tribes to get on top of the list once the match has ended. They perhaps vote because they think if the good player is gone their chances grow to be on top.

The rest of the people perhaps have fun to klick someone. It gives them power over another and that's something allmost all players want. If a kick vote is close and your own vote decides the whole thing, maybe this makes you feel great. I can't relate to that but maybe others.

T/K votes are the worst
People have to remember that there is all skill levels playing and unless someone is blatantly T/K,ing or raping there own base to spoil a game then they should b left alone.
A simple sorry is sufficient.
The amount of times ive seen people vote 4 a kick cos of an accidentel T/K is stupid and i would realy love to meet a player that has never harmed a teammate
I would personaly prefer to be killed by a poorly aimed mortar by a trigger happy heavy then have a tit as a tailgunner who hasnt got any flares or a pilot who thinks a bomber is a slow shriek and insists on slamming it into the bloody base!
lol my turn to rant but having a gunner in ur tank who jumps out as soon as ya get in sight of the enemy base and shouts "whoohoo" is just fucking great
as i said im only a noob at this and im still learning the basics but surly the fact that "n0obs" even want to play is a good thing and kicking anyone that makes the slightest mistake is a good way of making sure this games dies a nasty slow death

The NME cannot vote - only your own teammembers can vote you off. Stops you voting for good players on the other team.


I tend to only vote to kick people for 3 reasons:

1) Blatant Tkilling/Own base raping.

2) Blatant team-damaging (where you, say, get half-power sniped on the vpad by your own team)

3) Your own team shooting you on the vpad - for WHATEVER reason (if people push in line I don't feel the need to shoot them....)

the way it works is as follows:

1) someone starts a kick vote, for whatever reason..
2) everyone spams Insert and gets back to the game

it is a good idea to allow people to kick/ban tk-ers, abusers etc. but its just mad in t2

how about kicking any1 that even tries to defend there flag/base?
recently played and 1 person was ruining the game by trying to defend the base/flag/do repairs/emtpy base of rapists.
the rest of us were spamming repair the base/vs/turrets-destroy turrets/vehicles as well as trying to grab a flag (which is bloody hard with no vehicles/armour/guns).

we had no armor and no vehicles defalt weps and all that shit
and the stupid twat on defence was moaning about not being able to defend against a few bombers/tanks/snipers/HO/cappers and what not on his own and repair everything as well. i mean ffs there were 15 poeple on attack surely we coulda got at least 2 flags in the whole game.

and personaly i cant see whats wrong with standing on the v/s shouting repair it (he called me a cunt and told me to repair the fucking thing myself) the way i see it he shoulda run like the fucking wind and repaired it 4 me
and the excuse that and i qoute "the fucking base is over-run, we have half there team having a nice cuppa tea by our generators, they have put there own spike turrets next to our base and we cant lay mines cos one of you tosspots has put them all around the remote tower,there using the bloody pj waypoints scripts and sitting at there own bases while fucking the shit outa ours, im on my own and what the fuck do you want me to do,and a little help here wouldnt be frownd upon" is just showing everyone his total n0obieness .

the way i see it kick these players as they are bad 4 the game and teamplay obviously means fuck all to them.

it was me on defence and i was the one calling my team a bunch of cunts

and my score was fucking terible
couldnt set up any turrets either cos some twat had them all (yes all 7) next to the mbp
and yes i was kicked

I don't think there's a problem with people voting for anything. I think the problem lies with retards who push yes without even asking why. Thats how people end up kicked for silly reasons. Always nice if you have decent admin on the server, then you can keep things sweet. If there is no admin, vote a responsible player (push escape and right click on their name) to take the position. Then if u have a problem u can winge and if appropriate the admin can kick. A good admin can also even up uneven teams.

because all map votes are for katabatic, and normaly thats the map thats being played anyway.

plus if you play on a server with map rotation, then the maps change all the time,so wait a little, and katabatic will turn up.

personaly, i like playing differnt maps now and again.
