Is it worth upgrading my graphics card?

HL2's out, CS:S runs a bit shit, I intend to upgrade my PC with a bundle off OCUK (AMD Athlon 64 3500 Retail / Asus A8V Deluxe / 1GB Corsair XMS3200XLPT Dual Channel Kit) but is it worth buying the graphics card now whilst I have the money, or waiting until I've got the bundle? I'm looking at a Radeon 9800 Pro, an MSI one which was recommended to me for about £150.

So basically, will buying a new graphics card help much with CS:S whilst I get the money to buy the bundle or is it just a pointless exercise?

well if you dont mind upgrading the card again in 6 months time i'd say get it

Probably anything bar the 6800Gt and Ati equivalent isnt going to last you that long. So it's £150 down the drain, unless you can afford to do that.

But yes CS:Source runs well enough on a 9800 pro.

Get a 6800GT or X800 or such. 9800 is getting a bit long in the tooth now.
