Is it worth it?

is it worth playing on a dial up connection, I used to play eve online and have no problems but FFXI looks a little more demanding than eve
Pls advise.

I've heard it's not even worth buying the game if you are on dial-up. :\

Heh the lag on the servers is really, next to nothing, although the servers are in Japan, there is no lag at all.

Cba to find it right now but on the gamespot review they said something along the lines of 'don't even think about playing on dial-up'. Not sure what exactly they meant by it but I can only think that it is because of the lag, and given the fact that we are even further away than the yanks from Japan it can only spell disaster for 56k users if the gamespot review is correct.

k well im going down to newage consoles 2morrow 2 try and get it and if it doesnt work then ill upgrade to broadband
