I'm not one to generalise so I won't say that most coppers are wankers.
That couldn't practically happen, for much the same reason it is near impossible for the Police to realistically police the cannabis law. So they don't bother (to a degree)Originally posted by Maljonic
I think the law should be changed so you can't drink anything; that way there is no confusion over how much you've had or can get away with.
It wouldn't have to be policed any more than it is now, it's more to avoid confusion amongst the people who drink and drive. You wouldn't have to guess if you'd had too much or not if any amount is too much. People would be tempted to have that extra one if they knew they weren't supposed to have any in the first place.Originally posted by Durzel

If you are plastered and decide to take a kip in the back of the car, I doubt they'll do anything tbh.
but you are liable to wake up at some point still pissed and try and drive home in your car; a policeman/woman isn't allowed to just leave you in there in that state if you have the keys.Originally posted by bodhi
Doubt it. You're hardly in control of the vehicle are you if you are comatose in the back seat. Anyone who tries to argue that you are is more retarded than I thought.

If you get caught drinking beer while driving, you will almost certainly be charged with driving without due care and attention - and seriously penalised. If its just a coke, they might let it pass.
