At the [Edinburgh Festival art] exhibition, only work by women artists is displayed - and for the first month - only women were allowed in.

My first thought was "women moan about golf clubs and the unfairness of that" and I agree with that, because I believe in genuine equality. But oho!:

There are still golf clubs that exist in 2012 where women are not allowed in - let's see if this is possible as an art exhibition

So, you decided to copy something you know yourself to be unfair? The whole "two wrongs don't make a right" thing passed you by eh?

She's also missed another trick:

A lot of the work is very personal. It's personal to the artists, it's personal to women specifically - it's just issues that men will never come across purely because of the difference between men and women

I thought one of the points of this type of art was to foster greater understanding? It's now also something men won't come across because you wouldn't let 'em in.

People can think what they want - I don't see why I'm putting people's noses out of joint.

Probably because you fail so hard to understand the basics. I agree with those who say that it puts women's lib back. It's a worse idea than the MOBO awards.

To be fair tho, photos of strippers and art depicting womens genitals probably wouldn't float my boat and the exhibition is probably as much gash in its exectution as it is in it's subject matter.

I'd not be able to dismiss it out of hand like that, tho, if I was able to go see it

What I object to is women wanting a piece of our action; I do not like women in the golf club, it's as simple as that. Feel free to build you own golf club and make it women only, but leave us men the fuck alone because we don't give a toss (except Scouse clearly).
