hedge end pubs are local pubs for local people, they require a birth certificate and proof that you're mum and dad were related to gain entry at least that's what i've heard

the ones in the village are very yokel, very chavvy places. the barn is ok though, its in grange park so more commuters and stuff, much less yokelly.

botley pubs are better though, or the southampton arms which is towards fair oak.

winchester is good for drinking as well if you fancy a change from bedford place. It all shuts down quite early but there are some great pubs there (exchange, railway, royal oak, white swan, another one by the hospital that i cant remember the name of, the bridge in shawford (victor meldrew got run over outside it in one foot in the grave)... even the spoons is ok) and there is cool little independent cinema with a bar as well.

I always thought bru tasted a bit like bubble gum.

I only really drink it when I'm hungover since they started putting Orangina in glass bottles.
