Um, Cyfr, IRC is more relaxed than the forums, most of what happens in IRC is for the moment and doesn't really go down in history.

Forums are a different matter as the posts made make up the history and community.

You have on several occasions got on my nerves and I have banned you. The opers in #freddyshouse generally do as they see fit, we try not to govern IRC as strictly as we do in here.

As others have said, if you don't like it, vote with your feet.

As for giving up, if i constantly went to a pub and got thrown out I would find another that welcomed me, I have my self respect that governs that in me.

It's not going to be a very good community if people simply do what someone else does and gets banned. On the forums, if someone posted goatse, and it was turned a blind eye to, yet someone else posted it and they got banned, would that be fair? I'm pretty sure people would have a lot to say about it.

Cyfr, the world is not black and white. Neither is IRC. Some people get away with more then others but that's usually cause they have build up some credit before.
