2 people from sotl are ops in that channel, please dont generalise. I believe warders have that many ops aswell.

1. The format is different. These boards are incomparible to IRC in that respect.

2. Nobody 'installs trojans' on your PC in IRC either. YOU do. How do you know whether anyone scans your ports here? It's quite easy to obtain an IP from the boards. That doesn't hold water either.

3. One mod in IRC used a script to gain access to someone elses computer and was caught. Granted, that's bad but it seems to be the only complaint that holds water.

4. I laugh at those who thinks DAoX is bad. In later versions we get a windowed mode. Why you ask? Because not being able to multitask while playing a game as time consuming as DAoC is utterly stupid and the game developers have realised this. Yes, at this moment in time the use of DAoX is prohibited, and no, I don't use it but condemning those who do and a channel that doesn't consider it a big deal because you don't agree with it is backwards.

And as much as I'd love to have a war of words with you 'Uncle Sick', I'll think I'll succeed where many in the past have failed and ignore your sarcastic remarks. I don't need to reply to your insecure remarks to feel good about myself.

Did you purposely forget to mention the fact that Mythic have released a windowed mode for the game? If DAoX is so bad why would they create an ingame function that allows you to do the exact same thing that DAoX does?
