IRC Funny Channel Fingy

Hi All

I keep getting a message on IRC that I have been kicked from channel #/j even though it isnt in my perform list

I have noticed tonight after I was disconnected from IRC that I mus connect to this channel after a disconnection.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It just says

"You haven been kicked from channel #/j - Its not a f!$king clan channel"

I once had IRC reconnect on me and noticed a message.

"Cannot join channel #/j you are banned"

Its weird. I ahve done a virus check etc and spy bot etc and still zip

They probably banned you for no reason then. Nothing to worry about.

/j is the common short form of /join, so to me it looks like you got some sort of script or perform set up wrong so that it is doing summat silly like "/join /j ....". Which IRC client (and script if any) do you use?

I use No Name Script with the standard IRC fingy. I have just installed a couple of scripts for music & a server browser, maybe that could have something to do with it.

Of those two, I would guess the server browser addon, as it seems most likely to use a join command. Have a nose through the options for it and see if you can see anything. I'm afraid I have never used No Name Script, so am not familiar with where options might be.
