You could try Trillian.

Its not specifically an IRC client, but it allows you to "merge" MSN/Yahoo IM/ICQ/IRC all into 1 package.

Been busy doing the whole A Level student summer thing - been spending all my time out, literally only ever coming home to sleep.
I'm also working now, so it's Wake-Work-Mashed-Sleep days for me now. I pop on from work occasionally and have a look, but there's only one net PC shared in the testing room.

You can watch me work (Mondays-Fridays (although not today as I'm sorting the A-Level mess out)), I'm often at the back by the windows, machine left of the coke bottle in window (that's mine).

If you dont want bells and whistles you could try Mirc out. Real simple to use and may be a good starting point for gettin used to the way they work......nnscript is basicaly a souped up version of Mirc.....another one is acidmax which is very good.

Hardly ever use irc but when I do I use MIRC, well I did pay for it.

Besirc is good but has some really shite features,

i.e highlighting will highlight anything with SK in it (skate etc), also it seems to want to report clones or something which I cant seem to switch off, if it wasnt for these it would be a great proggy, plain old mirc works fine for me.

In Bersirc, is it possible to make the tab on the taskbar flash when people talk in the channel I'm in, if I'm looking at another window.. (So it flashes if I'm browsing these forums, for example, not looking at IRC).. If it can't do that then I'll cry and go back to mIRC
