Found quite a nice web irc client:

Server you want is : irc.quakenet.org

here is link : http://pc-intern.com/artikel-3864.html

Scroll down, stick in server initial channel and nickname you want to display.
If you want to join some other channels do /join #<instertchanelname>

Yes you'll find most players already have a channel iirc it's #daoc or #prydwen.rvr or there's one that Sept made just for the excal/pryd rvr community.
