IP or Prevent Flight

I've been getting this question from several guildies now...

While its clear that mercenaries should get PF asap... Its a question that I'm getting from 2H armsmen aswell as S+S armsmen...

Is PF worth it for a slow hitter like a 2H or Pole armsman ?

Is PF worth it for a S+S defense armsman ?

And not worth it eventually, but has it more value then IP lets say around RR5 ...

PF is worth it for any arms/merc due to the fact that it's ALWAYS 35% chance to procc which is 1 in 3 swings, it proccs often for me should do for 2h/pole armsman too.:)

PF is DEFINETLY better than IP, it's always on whereas IP is like instant heal every 30mins for 17 points :/, if you know you have clerics often in your group definetly get PF first.

I'd go PF first unless you often solo / group without clerics tbh. Anyone in a reasonably constructed RvR group shouldn't need IP.

PF >>> IP anyday as tank.


IP is not needed untill like.....r7+++ :D

Well, PF before IP is a must. If you have to use IP, then your cleric is probably dead, and you will die in a sec anyway. IP only gives you another few secs to die ^^

I got rid of IP for PF and its ace. Even on polearm it still works fine (imo)

It has already been mentioned, if you have good healers in group you wont need ip much.
Even as a skald in a good group, i don't have to use ip.
If i have to, my group is loosing anyway, so i will only delay my death for a few seconds.
It may be questionable whether it's worth it for someone who uses a 2-h.
If you often have a dualwielder with pf assisting you, i would say it's not worth it. RA points would be better spent elsewhere.
Guess you have to figure this out yourself. :)

PF and IP both suck tbh, i use Rain of Annihilation at lvl 3 myself

i tend to use ip only a couple of times a month as normally its pretty clear if ur going to win or lose

pf u use all the time so i'd get that first. although it never seems to proc for me :(

IP is only really useful in solo situations... In groups, when I have to use it I'm usualy in so much trouble that I don't survive anyway. 23 points wasted imo, especially seeing you need FA2 for it, which I even removed from my quick bars because I never use it. IP would be worth it at 10 points and without the FA2 (or even FA1) requirement.

Dunno in mercs or armsmans. With Heros is nice to get IP, imagine ur druid cant heal cause is under attack. And someone is hitting u, fully buffed a Hero can have now abou 2300 hp or +.So with Moose is about 3000 hp.With IP is about 6000 hp.so i think IP is quite great for Heros they can still alive lot of secs being hitted if ur druid cant heal u.
