well looks like N Ireland in control vs san marino (big tough old san marino :) )

draws so far for holland, denmark, norway and sweden maybe goals still to be scored there? :p

and ofc england spain the big game for most people tonight, any suprises with line up? no lampard start, no beckham start and heskey over carlton cole good move? who knows guess we'll see (that said i think Heskey has done fantastic since his "donkey" years of getting sent off for kicking a guy in the face from behind at the euros)

anyone else watching? :D

lets hope ITV dont mess up any goals today!

edit: just saw wales score and realised i had read it wrong :p

I'd rather watch news 24 in sleep mode, far more fun than international gayball...

Without Rooney our attack looks very average. Agbonlahor/Heskey vs Villa/Torres, I mean come on, the gulf between them is massive.

Wright-Phillips was the only England player in the first half to seem interested. And as usual, Beckham comes on and outplays the rest of the England midfield. But so far, that hasn't been too hard =(

Just glad the Villa players survived without any injuries (AFAIK). Pointless game really.

'Pointless' as it may seem it still shows England have a way to go before we can compete for the WC against the likes of Spain and Brazil.

was hoping someone would injure torres and alonso. lol. Would probably guarentee Man Utd the title, but the main reason was to give Villa a better chance of taking 2nd spot.

Who cares if got sent off doing so, pointless friendly and half the team wont be in the next squad. May as well get a international ban, even if it is for 3 matches.. least you put your team in a better position. lol.

Friendlies are pointless for an international team. learnt nothing really from tonights match apart from England lack no cutting edge in a passing game and dont play to our strengths (wtf is point of crouch if beckham dont play the diagonal ball ffs)

I don't think it shows anything at all really. That was pretty much our reserve team against the number one team in the world and playing away from home. Throw in a referee who was too willing to blow his whistle at the faintest suggestion that an England player might tackle a Spanish one.

Yet we still had the best chances in the game until the Everton defender whose name I cannot spell passed the ball to Alonso in the midfield. Bang 1-0 down and lots of substitutions at half time.

Meaningless game.
