Will see if I can spot it through the orange haze that pretends to be a night sky round here.

Just popped outside. Clear skies but the light pollution is awful here.

Should still see it, it'll appear as bright as Jupiter (at least).

I think I saw it. Very bright, moving fast west to east, no red lights, definitely not a commercial airliner...but...no comet trail. Just the bright light

Reminds me of

Just what i seen at 22:57, over Liverpool heading towards Manchester way, massive bright light but no flashing and moving insanely fast.

By the time i went around my house to check it's direction, it was already gone.

G, what camera did you use to take that shot? You got a special night set-up for that kind of photography?

Sony NEX-7, Canon 17-55 f/2.8

Nothing special, ISO 100, f/3.5 and thirty second exposure. If I was setup properly I'd use bulb mode and leave the shutter open for 5 minutes to capture the whole trail, so this is only a portion of it's flight.

Just saw it 10-15mins ago, was a very nice sight. Wish I had a telescope or a good camera :)

I thought I wasn't going to see it and then BAM! Out of the clouds, streaking through the night. Amazing thing to see. I only just managed to get a shot of it before it disappeared into the Earth's shadow - if it had carried on a bit more I could have got a completely clear shot.

Phone apps are brilliant, aren't they? The phone told me exactly where to expect it and it was spot on. So there's a hill a two minute walk from my house which has 360 views of the horizon...

I had a perfectly clear view of it virtually no clouds in sight.

I've been looking for a phone app to capture it since the Galaxy S2 doesn't seem to have that capability already on.

Great view tonight (snapped mid-frame, passing into earth's shadow).

Just search for International Space Station in Google Play, first app. Gives you a compass and a diagram so you know exactly where to look.

Oh. Thought you mean't phone app for taking the pictures. Since it seems the Galaxy doesn't come with that long exposure stuff, thought the picture looked a bit too crisp to be from a mobile.

The direction of it has been the same every night for me mso finding it hasn't been an issue.

Again tonight, 22:23 to 22:28, roughly the same direction. Except the skies are perfectly clear tonight (well, if you count lurid orange as clear).
