Intermittent CS:S problem

Now that I have a new PC CS:S plays far better, with good framerate virtually all the time.

I do occasionally get a problem though. It is like the card is drawing a few frames, and then going back and drawing them again, so overall the game looks very jerky. Does this make sense?

It isn't framerate, showfps is still telling me 90-110 ish, and I have tried turning detail on and off, as well as vertical sync. Nothing seems to make a difference.

IS this a net problem, or something else?

I guess the only way to find out is to play offline - host yourself a game and see if you get the same problems.

Well I set up my own game and it didn't happen.

Calaen, I remember Throddy saying something about this, I'll give it a try.

you gotta do it every time u log on to play unless you set up an autoexec file or something.

Well I did try it yesterday, and it seemed to do the trick.

How do I create an autoexec? I seem to vaguely remeber doing one for TFC many years ago, but I haven't got a clue now.

What exactly should I put in it?

open notepad, add the command you need cl_smooth "0", and save as autoexec.cfg as all files in the same directory as your CS config.cfg
