I think Liverpool will win the tie but Inter will get a 1-0 or 2-1 win.

My heart says Inter, my head says the Scousers will win on aggregate or in extra-time or penalties. :)

Entertaining first half, despite no goals. Inter really needs to press on now during the second.

Burdisso got to be the most hated inter player by the fans - it's the same guy who got banned for 6 (?) CL matches in the valencia match.

Liverpool saved by a shit referee :)

Yeah because inter really had us on the ropes at half time? Torres' goal sounds amazing? Described as a chip, turn and volley from 18 yards on bbc website. Looks like every quarter is going to have an English club in it again, would be cool but it has no reflection on the state of English football.

of course it does, the prem is the most challenging and interesting league in Europe, our national team may not be up to much at the moment but our club football is first class.

Aye you are not wrong there, not only is it eye catching it can often be breathtaking because of the pace and passion. The same cannot be said of Italian football.

Didnt watch this match, but saw the goal.

Decent control from the ball in, then slow closing down, but quick acting by Torres to hit it on the turn when the ball to Gerrard was closed of. Nicely tucked into the corner. Certainly hit form at a good stage of the season.

Ref had a very poor game.

That said Liverpool nor Inter created many chances, the passing and off the ball movement particularly by Inter was awful.

Torres goal was very good - be interesting to see what the semi's throw up. If theres 1 draw with no english team then we're guranteed at least one all english tie

Yes true but thats why i said it is not a reflection on English football not "on the premier league". Its been lauded by every pundit for years that the premiership is the best league in Europe, but woop woop, our national team is still crap.

Torres' goal isnt quite as good as it sounded on the bbc website but still very nice. Furthermore Inter had some very good chances that weren't really conveyed on the live text .
