I'm still using version 1, wasnt v2 physically smaller?

How is v3 different, it looks the same?

Used a v3 for ages now, had one since they replaced my v1 free of charge after it's cable wore out. Never asked for the v1 back either so I cut the damaged part of the cable off and rewired it, been working fine ever since.

Oh mine must be a v1 then as it's the larger model. My brother has a v3 and that's smaller than mine. I'm using the original bluetooth one now (no tilt wheel) and it's almost the same as a v1.

They are releasing a wireless reciever for $20 I think so you can use your xbox controller on the PC.

Will the play and charge cable not work? As it is simply a usb cable?

I am not sure why I am asking, seeing as I could just plug it in and try. ho hum.

It doesn't, afaik it's simply a charger, the controller still operates wirelessly even when it's plugged into the play and charge cable

Christ, the razer mice were amusingly shit (yet adored by thousands of "pro gamers" or whatever they want to call themselves) - maybe this will do them some good - oddly, MS hardware has usually been quite good. I'm still using a V3 explorer to this day, prefer it to the new fangled things with a gazillion buttons - probably due to my hand size though.

It is getting a bit long in the tooth though, maybe this new one will be worth a look.

My god, I had forgotten how good this mouse was.

For desktop use my logitech is still nicer to use, but for gaming the intellimouse explorer is still the undisputed king.
