My first renuwal year is coming up. 1 years no claims under my belt and i'm now 21.


I've been paying £170 a month on a 1.2 fiat punto.

Any hints/tips to getting cheap car insurance?


My mate has a 3 door 1.6 sport astra, red, and he's paying £70 a month. What the fuck. He has 0 no claims.

Sure he's not a second driver or he's only got third party? When I passed my test at 22, my insurance for the first year was £997 on a 1.2 polo fully comp. Quite a lot of it depends on where you park your car at night, your job and where abouts in the country you live.

Nothing wrong with the comparison sites , i got insurance for my 307 for £312 on confused.com , direct line wanted £519 (thats supposed to be with 2 months free aswell)

car insurance is a joke. Our town had a case of 90 scratchings reportings by 2 asian fucks one night 2 years ago or so. Since then everyones has doubled. For my 1.4 xsara it used to be 1100 up here, now its 2300 and thats with 1 NCB. At my brothers in Leicester i get quoted 900. Its why i cba to drive atm, im not paying the theiving ***** anymoney ... oh and with the petrol prices i just rather not go town. Things will have to change if i get a job tho i guess

Nope, it's not fronting, the car is a family car and used by the household. So there are 4 named drivers, and is owned by my mum, not me.

My insurance has gone up £50 this year because of cars having windows smashed in my area. So i can save £100 and pay myself for all windows or pay £50 over the year.
