insurance question

need to settle an argument between my friend and I.

basically i bought the holiday insurance for the two of us.

the only option for two people was worded as "couple".

on the document it says group type - couple.

to me this means two people and i cannot find any wording to say what is defined as a couple.

he is defining couple as being an actuall couple (i.e. married/engaged/etc).

anyone have an idea?

most certainly not. but if thats how couple is defined in law im guessing i will need to change policies.
