I'd rather drive a car which doesn't powerslide everywhere uncontrollably when you put your foot down than not, even if it is more "fun to drive". I sat in a mates 300ZX once and he pulled off normally to set off for work and ended up spinning around about 75 degrees (rear wheel drive). He definitely wasn't booting it either.

Incidentally, Skylines aren't true 4WD anyway, they just have ATTESSA-PRO torque splitters that can transfer power to the front when necessary. Mine doesn't have an active LSD (it's passive) unlike the V-spec ones which transfer power to either rear wheel, on mine it goes to both - so in a way its a bit more "balls out".

It's got a shade under 420bhp too - which is pretty scary let me tell you.

The Toyota Supra (new and old) and the NSX both have limited slip diffentials and various other electronic gadgetry. The Supra also has traction control which can't be turned off (iirc). So all in all, a Supra won't be anything like the kind of traditional RWD car you're expecting (i.e. one where you actually want it to slide about everywhere uncontrollably).

I came up behind a Sierra Cosworth yesterday who was clearly going to put his foot down when we came up to a dual carriageway (I could see him looking in the rear view mirror a lot to find out which direction I was going). Came to the dual carriageway, he put his foot down, so did I - he disappeared :D

I'd never have been able to do that in my old car, I'd have been left for dust :cool:

Plus the Skyline has the distinct advantage of not being a fucking motorbike, and hence, isnt driven by fuckstains with no respect for the rules of the road, their lives, or anyone else's for that matter.

Strange that but its harder to get a motorbike license, esp bigger bikes since its 2 stage based. Its nice to know you prove, by this sentence, your total lack of knowledge to the fact Motorbike riders are often injured due to fuckwit drivers and there was evidence that car drivers break the speed limit more than motorbike riders.

Bikes are shit mainly due to the fact that riding one negates any possibility of looking half decent when you arrive at your destination (eg. pub, club, etc) due to having to remove leather body suit, helmet, etc.

In practical terms I don't know of many female friends who would be happy spending hours getting ready to go out, only to be asked to don a helmet thus ruining their hair and makeup.

Which is why cars will always rule the roost :)

Most motorcyclists get everything they deserve. Why they feel they can do 100 mph while weaving in and out of traffic is beyond me.

By the way, I go on what I see whit my own eyes, not by what some retarded biker tells me.

Bikes are probably the only vehicle on the road at the moment where it makes little difference how many cars end up being on the road, since they often just drive up the outside whenever there's a traffic jam.

That said, the fact that you have to don a full body suit (especially in this weather) plus protective headgear just to ride 5 miles to work (for example), all the while having absolutely no form of entertainment (eg. music) while you go - unless of course you count the ever present possibility of coming off at 30mph and smashing all your bones up as "entertainment" - makes it pretty impractical for the majority of people.

And as far as "fun" goes, you obviously haven't been in a really fast car. Bikes are probably always likely to have the egde in raw adrenalin rushes, but trust me - driving a fast car has just the same effect :)

i agree fast cars are mental but it don't compare to a fast fast bike - i believe it's just a case of picking a point on the speedo and you'll be at that speed in a second or 2.

But i'm with u durzel, i prefer cars.

The reason so many bikers are injured by car drivers is because they dive in and out of traffic and shoot up the inside of 2 cars in moving traffic. It's almost impossible to predict what a biker and his faggot biker mates are going to when they're near you.

Also, anyone else noticed how annoying their headlights are? They seem to bounce up and down giving a "flashing" effect in your rear view mirror, and they are SO fucking bright.

Bikers are morons. They deserve everything they get. It's their own fault. I really, honestly (and I do actually mean this), hope ALL bikers die painfully, tomorrow.

You seem to know quite a bit about cars so I was wondering if you could give me some advice.

I have a 1991 Rover 414 SLi [K series engine with standard injection]

I was wondering if I could squeeze some more power out of it for about £300-£500 quid. At the moment it does about 0-60 in 8.8 seconds?
