I never understood the point of ignore, short of using it to avoid looking at particularly revolting pictures that the user may have posted. Surely it's not hard just to see that a user has posted a message and ignore it yourself?

Or is it about making a statement?

I've only put someone on ignore once because he was a twat, but I ended up reading his posts half the time anyway :/

Like I said I put that account on ignore as the actual text of the words was making my eyes hurt. I agree nath, I don't bother with ignore usually I just skim posts if they piss me off.
